The New Business Concept: Be Yourself!

Written by: Tedfuel

Representation matters in the LGBTQ+ community–especially in business where it is still lacking. Eli and Mike are creating that representation in business just by being themselves, and they are gaining momentum in other fields because of it.

Eli Delgado and Mike Vizcarra are business owners and they’re getting married! They are mainly in real estate and lending but also have a mentoring business where they seek to help folks of the LGBTQ+ community get the support they need in becoming successful entrepreneurs. Their success in real estate has allowed them to be out and be themselves, and from that, they are creating the much-needed representation of the queer community in real estate.

Because representation of the LGBTQ+ community in real estate is lacking, Eli and Mike want to change that. Representation is important because sometimes clients just need a real estate agent who understands them. There is a special bond that comes with that. Eli and Mike make that happen for so many people of the LGBTQ+ community and outside that community as well. They own M&E Real Estate Services Inc. which employs 22 other people to make up their expert team. In addition, Eli is the co-owner of The Mortgage Guys which works in tandem with their real estate business. Eli and Mike are not just business partners–they’re life partners.

They’ve worked and been together for over a decade. They got to where they are today in part due to mindset. When asked how mindset plays a role in their success they said, “It’s everything. [It] means going up against all types of conflicts, including haters…” Eli and Mike had to overcome poverty and discrimination to get where they are now. Since our culture is now shifting to a much more accepting place–the world can now see the power couple they always knew they were.

Currently, they are striving for Instagram credibility (via the blue check mark) and will continue to perfect their brand. They’re looking to get the attention of celebrities and other clients because they know their worth. They know who they are. Being yourself and celebrating that is what business is all about now. Customers and clients can respect and relate to that. Eli and Mike are making it happen with a great real estate business and just being themselves.
