Jesus Presinal Defies All Odds as He Takes on Dancing and Photography

New York City is one of the most famous cities in the world. Aside from the beloved Statue of Liberty, a symbol of freedom and hope, the vibrant city has produced plenty of numerous Broadway performances and countless celebrated artists that have rocked the world one way or another. An abundance of talent graces this boisterous metropolitan, one being Jesus Presinal, better known as JP.

JP grew up in a traditional Dominican household where he cultivated his passion for dancing at quite a young age. Unfortunately, despite his immense love for the art, his household did not share the same enthusiasm he did, and their support wasn’t anywhere on the table. However, this did not bother JP as he set off early to establish a name for himself in the dance industry. Like many renowned artists, JP started in the lively streets of New York, dancing his way towards his conquest while keeping his feet grounded. As a street performer, he had big dreams of working with well-known performers and meeting those who inspired him to continue with his craft. It wasn’t long until his hard work paid off, and he was able to land his first big job and a contract from a talent agency.

Around this time, he joined the official dance group of NBA’s Brooklyn Nets, Nets Team Hype. Things continue to look up for JP as he became a featured dancer for numerous music videos, took up a golden opportunity to dance with two of the world’s most celebrated personalities, Jennifer Lopez and Madonna, and became sea-bound when he started performing for a luxury cruise liner called Edge in Europe.

Like many seasoned dancers, JP betters his craft by practicing arduously for countless hours. Unfortunately, being a breakdancer is no easy feat, and in one of his practice sessions, he subluxated his shoulder, making him unable to dance for quite a time. During this moment, he took up photography after being given a chance to work with Nikon. Ultimately, they gave him a camera and a social media project that would soon change the dynamic of his work.

Merging dancing and photography, he created Freeze Frame Movement Photography, a manufactured marvel where a video turns into a still image over time. As he said, he wanted to find the perfect mix of artistry between the art of movement and the art of photography. JP’s method of capturing these moments took off, and before he knew it, he grew a steady following on all his social media accounts where he posts his creative models. He is also a content creator for RedBull.

Now a distinguished content creator, dancer, and creative director, who has a plethora of supporters all over the world, JP hopes to inspire other aspiring artists to pursue their dreams despite the many obstacles that stand in their way and to be able to take his success in a way where he can give back to the art that helped him get to where he is.
