Valentina Churaeva Is Building an International Career at the Intersection of Media, Food and Wellness
By: Victoria Talbot
Valentina Churaeva has built a career that crosses journalism, television production, public relations, food media and culinary education. After establishing herself professionally in Moscow, she has expanded that work into the United States, where she is already active in media, culinary programming and food-industry collaborations.
Today, Churaeva is developing an international profile that brings together her background in media and communications with her expertise in gluten-free cooking, recipe development and food education.
An Established U.S. Media Presence
Churaeva currently co-hosts a cooking segment on BURO, a Russian-language news channel in the United States whose programming receives approximately 10 million views per month across its network of content.
So far, 73 episodes featuring Churaeva and her healthy breakfast recipes have been released, giving her an established platform to reach viewers in the United States and internationally.
Her appearances reflect the broader direction of her career: using her experience as a producer and media professional to make culinary information accessible, practical and engaging for an audience interested in healthier cooking and dietary-conscious food choices.
Rather than entering the American market solely as a newcomer, Churaeva is continuing work that is already underway through U.S. media and professional relationships.
From Media Production to Culinary Expertise
Churaeva began her professional career in Moscow as a journalist, producer and publicist. Her experience included media production, communications and developing stories for audiences.
Her interest in gluten-free cooking developed later, after she personally began researching food intolerance and the relationship between diet and her own health.
At a time when adult gluten intolerance was not widely discussed in Russia, Churaeva immersed herself in international research and began documenting what she was learning. She developed recipes that allowed her to recreate familiar foods while avoiding ingredients that did not work for her.
That personal exploration eventually developed into a much larger professional body of work.
She began sharing recipes and practical information online, connecting with others navigating gluten-free diets and working with food producers to test ingredients and develop recipes suitable for everyday kitchens.
Working With International Food Companies

Among the major companies with which Churaeva has collaborated is GARNEC, a significant gluten-free food producer whose products are distributed internationally.
Her work has included product testing and recipe development, with an emphasis on demonstrating how gluten-free ingredients can be incorporated into practical home cooking.
She also collaborates with BANDI Foods, a major U.S. distributor of Eastern European foods. The relationship connects Churaeva’s knowledge of Eastern European culinary traditions with the American marketplace and its growing interest in international food.
Her professional collaborations extend beyond these companies, reflecting the breadth of her experience across food media, recipe development, production and communications.
A Book That Goes Beyond Recipes
Churaeva has also completed a full-length book with a major Russian publishing house, which is currently being translated into English.
The project goes considerably beyond a traditional cookbook.
It combines her personal story with practical information about gluten-free living, original recipes, interviews with people whose lives have been affected by gluten intolerance, and conversations with specialists who help readers better understand how to navigate a gluten-free diet.
The result is part personal narrative, part culinary resource and part collection of real-world experiences surrounding food intolerance.
Alongside the book, Churaeva has created 14 recipe collections, with several already available in English.
Her culinary work focuses on making gluten-free cooking approachable without losing the traditions and flavors associated with familiar foods. Russian and Eastern European dishes are adapted alongside contemporary recipes, creating a body of work that reflects both her cultural background and her international audience.
The Media Skills Behind the Food

What distinguishes Churaeva’s work is the combination of culinary knowledge with years of experience in media and production.
She understands how to develop a story, communicate with an audience and create content that works across different formats. She has also designed and developed much of the visual presentation surrounding her recipes, including recipe photography for her culinary projects.
That combination of skills allows her to move naturally between television, digital media, publishing, recipe development, food education, brand collaborations and public relations.
Her experience with Russian and Eastern European cuisine adds another dimension to her work in the United States, where those culinary traditions have a growing presence alongside an increasingly diverse food culture.
Building on Work Already Underway
Churaeva’s professional work in America is not a future concept. It is an extension of a career already in progress.
Her role on BURO, her collaborations with U.S. food businesses, her English-language recipe collections and the forthcoming English translation of her book all demonstrate an existing connection with American audiences and the broader U.S. food and media landscape.
At the same time, her background in journalism, production and public relations gives her professional opportunities beyond culinary content alone. Her experience can translate across television, digital media, publishing, food brands, cultural storytelling and international communications.
What began with Churaeva’s desire to understand her own dietary needs ultimately developed into a much larger professional specialty — one that has taken her from Moscow media and production into food education, publishing and television.
Today, she is continuing to build on that experience in the United States, bringing together the worlds she knows best: media, food, communication and culture.
That may be the most important thing Valentina Churaeva brings to the table.
