The enterprise in Zhytomyr, Ukraine, began its operations in 2015, and Kristina implemented the first projects at this plant. Her initial task was to implement the full production cycle of cable harnesses for the Audi Q2 model. This project was a joint development with colleagues from Slovakia. By 2016, the result of Kristina and her team’s work was successfully launched into production, marking a significant achievement for the new enterprise. In 2017, the Audi Q2 project was recognized as one of the best among the company’s 40 plants worldwide, and the Zhytomyr enterprise received the “Project of the Year” award.

In 2017, Kristina worked on implementing cable systems production for the Volkswagen Tiguan model. This project required close collaboration with engineers from Romania and representatives of the VAG Group in Germany. Thanks to teamwork, innovative approaches, effective coordination, and the implementation of modern technologies, the project was successfully completed within the established deadlines. This project required the integration of new technological solutions to meet high standards of quality and safety.

Support Production in Mexico

In 2018, Kristina was appointed as a support engineer at the Kromberg & Schubert plant in León, Mexico. This plant specializes in the production of cable systems for Mercedes and Maybach vehicles for USA production. During her business trips to Mexico, Kristina provided technical support and contributed to optimizing production processes, time balancing, and making positive impacts on product quality and plant efficiency.

Developing Electric Vehicle Technology

In 2021, Kristina led a project to develop and implement wiring for the Škoda Enyaq iV electric vehicle, in collaboration with colleagues from Romania and the Czech Republic. Kristina always looks to the future with electronics, ensuring the integration of innovative solutions.

Advancing in the U.S. Aviation Industry

The next stage of Kristina Ivanchenko’s professional development began in the United States. She joined Teledyne Controls, a leading manufacturer and innovator in aviation data collection, management, and transmission solutions. Kristina faced challenges due to language barriers and differences in work approaches but quickly adapted with the support of her colleagues. She focused on building relationships, actively participating in team meetings, and proposing process improvements. This helped her integrate seamlessly and demonstrate her value to the organization. At present, Kristina is involved in creating and applying automated systems, managing data, examining production workflows, and enhancing their effectiveness. She also handles documentation and facilitates collaboration among teams in various locations. Moreover, Kristina assesses new machinery and methods, ensuring they meet safety regulations, identifying ways to reduce costs, and maintaining quality control.

Embracing Life in America

Life in America is a constant forward movement, filled with new opportunities and experiences. Kristina has come to appreciate the contrasts and unique places in the country, from majestic mountains and ocean coasts to cozy small towns. Traveling, though expensive, is made possible through proper time management, allowing her to turn dreams into reality. American travels have become a source of inspiration for understanding the cultural diversity of this vast continent. Kristina and her son have visited several national parks, such as Yosemite and the Grand Canyon.

The American Dream

Moving to America has been more of a new stage than the beginning of a new life. Kristina continues to work in her specialty but in a completely different environment. This stage is one of new challenges, opportunities, and adaptation, where she can unlock her professional potential at a new level. Her dream has always been to create innovative products that could change people’s lives. Now, she sees that this dream has taken on a broader scope.

“I strive not only to work on individual technologies but also to contribute to the development of global engineering standards and create solutions that can have an impact on an international level,” says engineer Kristina Ivanchenko.

Among the high-tech developments and technologies, Kristina has formulated her vision of the “American Dream.” For her, the “American Dream” is the opportunity to realize her ideas without limitations, work on a global level.

Sawyer’s Efforts for Clean Water: World Water Day and Global Impact

By: Publicity For Good

90% of Sawyer’s Profits Go to Clean Water Initiatives, Impacting Millions of Lives Worldwide.

Safety Harbor, FL., (March 2025) — As the world marks World Water Day on March 22, Sawyer is reaffirming its commitment to providing clean water access to communities in need. With 2.2 billion people living without access to safe water, the global water crisis remains one of the pressing humanitarian issues of our time. Through innovative filtration solutions and strategic philanthropic partnerships, Sawyer has impacted over 28 million people worldwide and continues to drive sustainable change by donating 90% of its profits to clean water initiatives.

Sawyer’s commitment to clean water access extends beyond product development. The company actively partners with 140 charities globally to deliver life-saving water filtration systems to underserved communities and disaster zones. By focusing on sustainable filtration rather than bottled water, Sawyer is providing long-term solutions that are both economically and environmentally beneficial.

“We believe that access to clean water is a fundamental human right,” says Kurt Avery, founder of the Sawyer Foundation. “Our mission is to ensure that no one has to suffer from waterborne diseases or limited access to safe drinking water. Our filtration systems are not only more efficient and sustainable but are also helping communities thrive by improving health and reducing dependency on plastic water bottles.”

Disaster Relief and Environmental Impact Built For The Long Haul

Sawyer’s filtration systems provide fast, sustainable relief in disaster zones, offering a more practical alternative to bottled water. Sixty Sawyer filters are comparable to the weight of one case of bottled water, but they can provide clean water to a larger number of people — helping to reduce costs and plastic waste. On Christmas Island, two fishing villages were estimated to save $36,000 annually, replacing approximately 36,000 plastic bottles with $20 tap filters while also preventing illnesses and reclaiming a significant number of workdays lost to waterborne diseases.

Philanthropy in Action

Sawyer’s commitment to clean water extends beyond disaster relief. The company’s work with global charities ensures that communities in developing countries gain consistent access to safe water. From remote villages to urban slums, Sawyer’s filters are providing a low-cost, high-impact solution to water scarcity and contamination.

By reinvesting 90% of its profits into these efforts, Sawyer is creating a sustainable model for change. The company’s support for clean water projects includes infrastructure development, health education, and ongoing maintenance, ensuring that the benefits of clean water access are long-lasting.

Tackling the Plastic Problem

In addition to improving access to safe water, Sawyer’s filtration systems also reduce plastic waste. Single-use plastic water bottles remain a major environmental threat, contributing to pollution in oceans and landfills. Sawyer’s reusable filtration systems offer a more sustainable alternative, empowering communities to rely on local water sources rather than imported bottled water.

“Our products are designed not only to save lives but to protect the planet,” says Avery. “By reducing reliance on plastic and providing communities with a long-term solution, we’re helping to create a healthier future for both people and the environment.”

Since 1984, Sawyer has been committed to developing innovative solutions in water filtration, insect repellent, sunscreen, and first aid products. Known for their effectiveness and ease of use, Sawyer’s water filtration systems are popular with outdoor enthusiasts, offering reliable bacteria removal and a lightweight design. These filters are designed with durable fibers and are built to last for many years, making them a trusted option for various global health initiatives supported by organizations like the EPA, WHO, UNICEF, and more than 140 charitable groups. A significant portion of Sawyer’s profits goes toward supporting these programs, which have benefited millions of people around the world.

Why Your Toddler Hates Getting Dressed (and How to Fix It)

Parents everywhere know the struggle of a morning routine turned battle as tiny arms resist sleeves and shoes mysteriously disappear. Getting a toddler dressed can feel like a daily workout that leaves parent and child frustrated.

Toddlers are at a stage where independence is growing, but their ability to communicate is still developing. Clothes might feel uncomfortable, routines may seem forced, and strong opinions about outfits often appear overnight. Understanding the reasons behind this resistance may help make dressing time easier.

To make it easier for little ones to enjoy wearing their outfits, the Trendy Toddlers store offers clothes that focus on comfort and flexibility. Choosing the right clothes and involving toddlers in the process can turn dressing time into a smoother experience.

Why Toddlers Resist Getting Dressed

  1. Sensory Sensitivities and Discomfort

Many toddlers have heightened sensitivity to textures, tags, and tight clothing. If a fabric feels scratchy, stiff, or too warm, they might refuse to wear it. Some children dislike the feeling of seams or elastic bands, which makes socks, waistbands, or shoes uncomfortable.

Soft, breathable fabrics will help reduce discomfort. Clothes made from organic cotton or bamboo often feel gentler on sensitive skin. Seamless socks, tag-free shirts, and stretchy waistbands can make a big difference in how a child feels about their outfit.

  1. The Need for Independence

At this stage, toddlers crave control over their environment. They want to make decisions and assert independence in their daily routines. When dressing is something they are forced into, they may resist simply because they want to make their own choices.

Offering options can help. Instead of asking, “Do you want to get dressed?” try, “Would you like the blue shirt or the red one?” Limited choices allow toddlers to feel in control while still moving the process forward.

  1. Routine Disruptions and Mood Swings

If dressing time interrupts a preferred activity, toddlers may resist it simply because it feels like an unwanted change. Transitions, especially in the morning or before leaving the house, may be difficult for young children.

A predictable routine can make things easier. Keep clothes in the same place, follow a set order (first socks, then pants, then shirt), and use a fun countdown to help toddlers adjust. Play a song or turn dressing into a game to make the process more enjoyable.

  1. Overstimulation and Distractions

Mornings can be overwhelming, with bright lights, noises, and rushing. If a toddler feels overstimulated, they may resist dressing as a way to control their surroundings.

A calm environment may help. Keep distractions like loud music or TV off during dressing time to reduce resistance. Soft lighting, a comfortable room temperature, and a relaxed tone from parents can make dressing feel like a smoother transition.

How to Make Dressing Time Easier

Why Your Toddler Hates Getting Dressed (and How to Fix It)

Make It Fun

Make up a silly dressing song, use funny voices, or pretend their clothes give them superpowers. Counting each clothing item or racing to see how fast they can get dressed can add excitement to the routine.

Use Reverse Psychology

Sometimes, telling a toddler they cannot do something makes them want to do it. Saying, “I bet you cannot put on your socks by yourself,” will encourage them to prove you wrong. Let them “help” dress a stuffed animal first to make them more willing to dress themselves.

Let Them Dress Themselves

Encouraging self-dressing helps toddlers feel independent. Loose-fitting clothes, elastic waistbands, and Velcro shoes make it easier for little hands to manage. If they struggle with certain clothes, offering help while letting them do most of the work can build confidence.

Pick the Right Time

Trying to dress a hungry or overtired toddler is asking for trouble. Choosing a time when they are calm and well-rested increases the chances of cooperation. If mornings are stressful, dressing them right after breakfast or allowing them to play first might make things easier.

Prepare the Night Before

Laying out clothes in advance can remove the morning battle of choosing outfits. If a toddler helps pick their clothes the night before, they may be more willing to wear them the next day. A set place for clothes, like a special drawer or basket, can make it part of their routine.

Use Clothes as a Reward

If a toddler is attached to a particular outfit, using it as motivation can help. Saying, “First, we get dressed, then you can wear your favorite dinosaur shirt after lunch,” may encourage them to cooperate. Associating getting dressed with positive experiences helps reduce resistance over time.

What If Nothing Works?

Even with the right strategies, some toddlers still resist getting dressed. Staying patient is important. Forcing clothes on a screaming child can turn the process into a stressful experience for everyone. If a child consistently refuses clothes or seems highly uncomfortable in fabrics, they may have sensory processing sensitivities. In these cases, working with an occupational therapist can help identify the correct approach.

Final Thoughts

Toddler dressing battles are common, but they do not have to be a daily struggle. Understand why a child resists, choose the right clothes, and make the process fun to turn dressing into a positive experience. Small changes in approach can lead to big improvements and make mornings smoother and less stressful for parents and toddlers.

How CopConnect Cyber Wellness Clinics Are Redefining Digital Safety

By: Devender Singh

A Global Battle Against Cybercrime and Strengthening Digital Safety Through Education and Innovation.

As digital threats continue to evolve, cybersecurity has become one of the most pressing concerns of the modern era. The increase in cyber fraud, identity theft, and AI-powered scams has led to a surge in demand for cybersecurity education, awareness, and victim support. To address these growing concerns, the CopConnect Cyber Wellness Clinic initiative is making significant strides in strengthening digital safety, particularly among students and young professionals.

In a landmark event, Panjab University, Chandigarh, India, recently inaugurated its first Cyber Wellness Clinic in collaboration with a cloud-based cybersecurity company, the Information Sharing and Analysis Center (ISAC), and the Centre for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (CSDE). This initiative is part of a broader mission to provide free cybersecurity assistance, education, and multi-disciplinary victim support.

How CopConnect is Changing the Landscape of Cybersecurity

The CopConnect Cyber Wellness Clinic is more than just a victim support center—it serves as a cyber-first aid hub, providing technical, legal, and psychological assistance to cybercrime victims. The initiative is designed to cater to students, educators, and the public, equipping them with tools to detect and respond to cyber threats.

Key Features of the Cyber Wellness Clinic

  • Hacked or Not Kiosk Machine – A state-of-the-art tool that helps users detect spyware, malware, and security threats on their devices.
  • Immediate Cyber Victim Assistance – Experts provide step-by-step guidance for victims, including legal advice and emotional support.
  • Cyber Crime First Responders (CCFRs) – Trained faculty and students act as first responders to help individuals report and mitigate cyber fraud incidents.
  • Helpline Support and Awareness Training – Victims are educated on how to file official complaints via the national cybercrime helpline (1930) and the NCRP portal.

This initiative is not just limited to India. Cyber Wellness Clinics have already been launched in Bangalore, Mysuru, Mangaluru, and Delhi and will soon expand to more institutions worldwide. By creating a global network of cyber support centers, CopConnect is taking cybersecurity education to the next level.

Expanding the Reach of Cyber Awareness

The CopConnect Cyber Wellness Clinic at Panjab University is part of a larger initiative that began in Bengaluru in May 2024. Since then, it has expanded to Mysuru, Mangaluru, Delhi, and now Chandigarh, with plans underway to establish a seventh clinic at NITTTR Chandigarh. The goal is to create a network of cyber wellness centers across India, ensuring that cybersecurity education reaches as many people as possible.

“Let us look at the Cyber Wellness Clinic as more than just a space—it is a community,” added Ms. Bhuyan. “A community of cyber warriors working together to stay safe in the digital world.”

Global Relevance: A Call to Action for Universities Worldwide

The launch of such cybersecurity wellness centers comes at a critical time when cyber threats are becoming increasingly sophisticated. According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), financial losses due to cybercrime in the United States alone amounted to over $10 billion in 2023.

Cyber Wellness Clinics offer a model that could be replicated in universities across the United States, Europe, and other regions, empowering students with essential cybersecurity knowledge and practical skills.

“Cyber wellness is no longer a luxury—it’s a necessity,” says Captain P. Anand Naidu, the driving force behind CopConnect. “With AI-powered cyber threats growing exponentially, initiatives like these are critical to safeguarding the next generation.”

By fostering partnerships between academia, law enforcement, and industry leaders, Cyber Wellness Clinics are paving the way for a more secure digital future.

A Secure Digital Future Begins Here

As cyber threats grow in sophistication, initiatives like the Cyber Wellness Clinic play a crucial role in fostering awareness, providing victim support, and, ultimately, creating a more secure digital ecosystem for all. Ex-Cop McCarthy Barnes Jr. Announces New Book, Offering Hope to Officers Struggling with Addiction

Former police officer turned author McCarthy Barnes Jr. has announced his latest novel, Bottle and the Badge: A Cop’s Journey from Addiction to Atonement. Inspired by his own experiences of recovery, the book aims to show that it is possible for individuals, especially police officers and other first responders, to overcome alcohol addiction. Bottle and the Badge is the first installment of a planned trilogy, with the second book expected for release on September 1, 2025.

“Being a police officer, seeing the things I saw, experiencing the things I experienced, I understand how alcohol addiction can become prevalent,” Barnes says. “It’s a culture, a coping mechanism that many turn to during difficult times. It can be a way to manage the pressures of the job, which can be extremely challenging.”

Jobs with high levels of stress have been shown to correlate with increased substance use. A study suggests that around 30% of first responders may experience some form of substance use disorder. The same study found that around 18% of male officers and 16% of female officers reported issues related to alcohol use.

According to Barnes, many officers not only struggle with alcohol addiction and other dependencies but are also stigmatized for seeking help or emotional support. “In the department, there are places you can seek help, like through the employee assistance program,” Barnes shares. “However, officers often worry that they’ll be labeled as weak for seeking support.” Having personally experienced this stigma, Barnes founded Police Officer Sobriety Support Enbloc (POSSE) as a way to give back and support those in need.

His goal was to create a safe space where officers and other first responders could share their experiences and receive support without the stigma or labels. “Through POSSE, officers don’t have to go through their department. They can come to us for help at no cost.”

With the release of Bottle and The Badge, Barnes aims to continue his mission of assisting officers in need. Influenced by his own experiences, the book follows the story of David Nigeria, a police officer traumatized by his job and turning to alcohol to cope. The book’s purpose, according to Barnes, is to send a message of hope to officers struggling with addiction—showing that recovery is possible. “The main character, David Nigeria, is trying to quit, but like many people facing addiction, he’s not ready. He’s quitting for the wrong reasons—because of others, not for himself,” explains Barnes. “The key to overcoming addiction is discovering your personal reason for quitting. This realization often comes after hitting rock bottom. Throughout the narrative, readers see David go through this process until he finally discovers his ‘why.’”

The second installment is expected to be released on September 1, 2025, a date significant to Barnes, as it is his daughter’s birthday. The second book continues the story of David Nigeria as he works toward his recovery and seeks out healthier coping mechanisms after discovering his personal reasons for change.

To broaden his mission, Barnes also founded Posse Publishing LLC, through which his books are published. Not only does Posse Publishing highlight the often untold stories of police officers and their struggles, but it also serves as a way to educate and support officers, first responders, their families, and friends—who may also be impacted by alcohol and other forms of addiction.

Barnes is currently working on the third book in the series and expects to announce a release date soon. In the meantime, Barnes remains committed to helping those in need by sharing his experiences through his writing and the tireless efforts of Police Officer Sobriety Support Enbloc.

“We all face struggles. We all encounter situations that seem overwhelming,” Barnes says. “My writing and my work are there to show that recovery is possible, and that there is no shame in seeking support, being vulnerable, and doing what is necessary to heal. Everyone deserves a little help.”

Disclaimer: The views and experiences shared in this article are based on the author’s personal journey and his observations. The content provided is not intended as medical advice, and individuals struggling with addiction should seek professional support and guidance.

From Mall Sales to Mastering Finances: Odelya Buganim’s Inspiring Journey

Business success is rarely achieved following a straight path. Odelya Buganim’s journey began in a place far removed from the accounting world: mall sales. Today, she is a dedicated CPA in Nevada, providing individuals and small businesses with expert financial guidance. Her journey from retail work to leading her own boutique accounting firm highlights resilience, strategic thinking, and a strong commitment to helping others with financial matters.

From Retail to CPA Excellence

At 21, Buganim arrived in the U.S. with plans to save money for medical school. After serving as an officer in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), she took a job in mall sales, expecting it to be temporary. But life had other plans. She fell in love, stayed in the U.S., and began exploring new career paths.

A couple of accounting classes changed everything, as she was drawn to the subject and quickly excelled, earning a spot on the dean’s list. Encouraged by her professor, who saw her potential immediately, she pursued both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in accounting. This decision led to a career at Deloitte, one of the world’s leading accounting firms.

Her time there was cut short when the COVID-19 pandemic triggered mass layoffs. Rather than seeing this as a setback, she used it as an opportunity. She completed all four CPA exams and later joined Prager Metis, a top-50 U.S. accounting firm. These experiences strengthened her expertise and prepared her for something even greater—starting her own practice.

Launching and Growing a Firm

Buganim co-founded TT CPAS LLC, a virtual-first firm established during the height of the remote work era. The business thrived, but when her partner left, she took full responsibility for the firm while seven months pregnant. Managing every aspect of the business independently forced her to learn new skills and expand her knowledge.

One of her biggest challenges was learning to delegate. As a perfectionist, she initially struggled to let go of certain tasks. However, hiring her first assistant was a turning point, allowing her to focus on high-level financial strategy rather than day-to-day operations.

Now leading her practice, OB CPA, Buganim provides Nevada CPA services tailored to entrepreneurs, small businesses, and individuals with complex financial needs.

A Strategic Approach to Tax & Finance

Buganim stands out in the industry for her bilingual expertise and creative tax strategies. Fluent in Hebrew and English, she helps Israeli entrepreneurs in the U.S. manage business and tax requirements. Her ability to think beyond traditional solutions helps her clients optimize tax benefits while staying fully compliant.

She specializes in:

  • Tax planning and strategy for small businesses
  • Financial advisory for startups and entrepreneurs
  • Bookkeeping and consulting services
  • QuickBooks expert support for businesses
  • Tax preparation and filing in Nevada

A Client-First Mindset

Unlike many CPAs, Buganim takes a hands-on, client-focused approach. She believes that financial literacy is just as critical as tax compliance. Clients don’t just receive reports—they gain a clear understanding of their financial health.

Social media has played a key role in her outreach. She has built a strong reputation as a trusted Nevada business tax advisor by sharing tax insights, answering questions, and breaking down complex financial topics.

Her success stories include helping overwhelmed entrepreneurs take control of their finances. One small business owner, struggling with taxes and bookkeeping, turned to Buganim for guidance. Through personalized financial strategies, they improved their financial organization, reduced tax burdens, and gained confidence in their financial future.

Looking Ahead: Growth & Education

Buganim’s vision extends beyond her current practice. Over the next few years, she plans to:

  • Expand her Nevada CPA services to reach more businesses and individuals
  • Develop workshops and online courses for financial education
  • Strengthen her firm’s reputation as a leader in financial consulting
  • Become a go-to accountant for entrepreneurs seeking long-term success

Her story proves that career paths don’t have to follow a set formula. From mall sales to successful accounting firms to running her practice, Odelya Buganim has built a business rooted in expertise, persistence, and a strong dedication to her clients.

Since each building is unique and requires customized models, Autonomy Studio offers a targeted creation tool designed to guide users through a structured process, addressing potential technological challenges. The platform features an intuitive interface and predefined workflows, equipping a broad spectrum of users with the necessary tools to design and implement autonomous systems. This enables users to describe their buildings and HVAC systems in a way that the PassiveLogic framework can interpret and manage.

Du’s inspiration to focus on user experience design in the realm of autonomy and automation comes from her strong passion for making complex technologies more accessible and easier to use. She believes that the full potential of advanced systems, such as autonomous building controls, may be realized when users are able to interact with them in a simple, intuitive way. Recognizing how intimidating these technologies can be for non-experts, Du was motivated to bridge the gap between sophisticated automation and everyday users through thoughtful design. This commitment led her to specialize in crafting user experiences that simplify complexity and enable users to leverage the full capabilities of autonomous systems.

What distinguishes Autonomy Studio from other design firms is its emphasis on user-centric design. The studio offers a streamlined, guided process that allows nearly anyone to create the detailed building models needed for autonomous control. While many tools in the market can be complex and require specialized expertise, Autonomy Studio integrates 2D and 3D environments, interactive network visualizations, and real-time analytics into one unified platform. This comprehensive approach ensures that complex tasks are simplified through user-friendly features, such as drag-and-drop system editors and interactive wiring diagrams. As Du explained, this focus on user-centered design speeds up the modeling process while improving accuracy and efficiency, positioning Autonomy Studio as a unique player in the industry.

One project Du takes particular pride in is the development of the Analytics Viewer within Autonomy Studio. This tool is notable for its ability to offer users detailed insights into their building’s performance, including historical data, predictive analytics, and the reasoning behind control decisions. Creating an interface that can present complex data in a way that is accessible and actionable was a significant challenge. However, by prioritizing clarity and user empowerment, the Analytics Viewer shifted maintenance workflows from reactive to proactive, allowing users to identify and address potential issues before they escalate. The positive feedback from users, who reported feeling more informed and in control of their building operations, was particularly rewarding for Du and her team.

In discussing the key challenges encountered when designing for autonomous systems, Du emphasized the importance of communicating system behavior and ensuring transparency. Users must understand the actions of the autonomous system and the reasoning behind them to build trust and interact effectively. To address this, Du incorporated clear visualizations and explanations in the Analytics Viewer, showing not just the current system status but also predictive insights and the rationale for control decisions. This level of transparency helps foster user confidence and control.

Another challenge Du faced is error prevention and recovery. Mistakes during setup or operation can have significant consequences in building automation. To minimize this risk, she designed interactive wiring diagrams within the Network Viewer that feature real-time error checking. Visual alerts and guided corrections help users identify and resolve issues quickly, reducing the likelihood of errors during installation.

Collaboration with engineers and developers is integral to Du’s design process, given the specialized nature of Autonomy Studio and its diverse target audience. From the beginning of each project, Du works closely with the engineering team to align design concepts with technical limitations and possibilities, ensuring the feasibility and effectiveness of implementation. Open communication channels are maintained throughout the design and development phases to address challenges, explore innovative solutions, and ensure the final product aligns with the original design intent. Du provides detailed design documentation, remains available for clarifications, and conducts regular check-ins to ensure that developer feedback is integrated into the final product while optimizing performance and maintaining a focus on user experience.

The platform operates not only on desktop computers but also on wall-mounted touch interfaces. Therefore, Du considers how users will interact with the system in various indoor environments, ensuring that the touch experience is optimized for different contexts. Recognizing that many users may experience color blindness, she designed LED light indicators with animations and color adjustments to make them distinguishable. User testing is conducted to validate these design choices and ensure they effectively address user needs.

Looking ahead, Du envisions the future of experience design in automation becoming more personalized, intuitive, and seamlessly integrated with emerging technologies. As automation systems become more advanced, the role of UX design will be to humanize these technologies, enabling them to blend more naturally into users’ daily lives. She anticipates a shift toward more natural forms of interaction, such as voice, gesture, and even emotion recognition, allowing users to communicate with automated systems in a more intuitive manner.

Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning will further enhance systems’ ability to anticipate user needs and preferences, leading to highly personalized experiences. Designers like Du will need to focus on creating interfaces that adapt to individual users while ensuring transparency in data usage and decision-making processes, addressing ethical considerations as these technologies evolve.

Measuring the success of a project at Autonomy Studio involves assessing the reduction in labor and time efforts achieved by the product. Du and her team actively collect user feedback to make necessary design adjustments and evaluate how the application impacts users’ lives. Recognition through industry awards also serves as a measure of success, with Autonomy Studio’s contribution to the Hive Autonomous Control Platform playing a significant role in winning the iF Design Award in 2023. This prestigious accolade highlights the excellence of their design and its contribution to the industry.

“As automation becomes more integrated into our daily lives, the real challenge lies in making these systems not just smarter but also more approachable, transparent, and empowering for users,” Du reflects. Through her work, she is helping to shape a new era of innovation where technology and design come together to create meaningful and transformative experiences for people everywhere.

Keith Newhouse Launches Laser Coaching Program to Bridge the Marketing Gap for Authors

By: Tom White

For many authors and creative professionals, marketing is one of the biggest hurdles to success. The choice often comes down to two extremes: spending countless hours navigating the complexities of marketing alone or paying a premium for full-service support. Keith Newhouse is now offering a middle-ground solution: a paid laser coaching program designed to provide the tools, guidance, and support necessary for authors to confidently market themselves—without the high price tag of traditional services.

Newhouse, an author himself, understands the challenges creatives face when it comes to promoting their work. His new laser coaching program, available through Newhouse Creative Group, offers unlimited 15-minute coaching sessions over the course of a year. This format ensures that authors receive ongoing, personalized advice tailored to their specific needs, helping them refine their marketing approach, build skills, and maintain momentum.

Unlike a one-time course, this program provides structure and accountability, setting actionable steps for participants to implement between sessions. The goal is not just to teach marketing strategies but to make it fun. Newhouse adds, “When you have fun doing something the effect is amplified. By turning your mindset from one of stress and confusion to a place of fun, we help you build the confidence and knowledge necessary for long-term success.”

“We know marketing can feel overwhelming,” says Newhouse. “That’s why we created this program—to help people break it down into manageable steps with personalized guidance. We’re here to empower authors, not just hand them another set of instructions and hope for the best.”
