However, many of these individuals decide enough is enough and embark on a journey of self-discovery and change. This could start with being around people who make them feel good, reading the right books, and, most importantly, getting a coach specializing in building confidence.

Meet Sam Mills, a confidence coach for women on a mission to help women build their true confidence from within. Sam believes that the key to true confidence lies in getting to know oneself, understanding, accepting, and loving who you are. She understands the struggles of building confidence, having faced them herself throughout her life. 

Sam’s story is heavy on the heart. At the tender age of five, Sam was subjected to the trauma of repeated sexual abuse by a trusted family friend. According to Sam, the memories of the places where the abuse occurred are still strong. 

Like many women who have experienced similar traumas, as a child, Sam’s innocence was taken advantage of, being manipulated by her abuser. This caused Sam to think it was her fault and that she would get into trouble if she spoke out. As a way of coping, Sam locked the memories away and grew into a teenager and young adult filled with self-hate, guilt, and shame.

Despite these difficulties, Sam never gave up on her dreams and continued to push herself to be the best version of herself. In her late 20s, she attended her first personal development workshop and realized her true potential. With the help of a specialist, she unlocked the door to the darkroom in her mind and let the light shine in, finding her confidence and self-belief. 

With this newfound confidence, Sam was in full control of her life. She woke up every day with a mission in mind and a smile on her face. Filled with self-love, she decided to get her Masters. The New Roth Catch-Up Requirement 

Starting in 2022, the IRS has introduced a new requirement for those making Roth catch-up contributions. Section 603 of the SECURE 2.0 Act requires employees with incomes over $145,000 to make catch-up contributions as Roth contributions rather than pre-taxed beginning in 2024. However, many taxpayers, employers, payroll companies, and other affected groups have expressed many concerns over the timing of the new law. Many feel they do not have adequate time to prepare or implement these new changes.  

Administrative Transition Period 

Recognizing that this change may require adjustments to retirement planning, the IRS has announced an administrative transition period. The IRS has granted a two-year transition period. In other words, taxpayers aged 50 and up can continue making either pre-tax or Roth contributions to their retirement funds. Beginning in 2026, they will need to begin abiding by the new Roth requirement.
