Ash Graves Announces New Ep 1996 with Lead Single Evergreen
Atlanta, Georgia based singer/songwriter Ash Graves is set to release long awaited EP titled 1996 following the release of his new single Evergreen. The indie artist announced on social media earlier this year that an album has been in the works after taking nearly a year off from writing music, describing his EP as “a collection of songs about loneliness, heartbreak and just trying to find a safe place to get away from it all”. Graves also confirmed the early release of multiple singles from his upcoming EP including Parking Lot, I just wanna disappear and lead single Evergreen which was released on August 26th and is now available on all major digital streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, Soundcloud, and others.
“Evergreen is the first song I wrote after taking time off from writing music to really figure out who I wanted to be as an artist. I wrote Evergreen from the perspective of a fire and a tree. Two things that don’t go together because it just wouldn’t work. I compared it to being in a toxic relationship in that same way. It’s a sad, introspective song that speaks to loving the person you’re with but knowing you’re not good for them and you will inevitably end up hurting them” says Graves.
With a unique sound that has garnered more than 3 million streams worldwide since the release of his debut single Coma back in 2020, the singer/songwriter has an innate ability to create sad lyrical perspectives that fans can’t get enough of. Even though still relatively new to the music scene, Ash Graves is surely an artist to look out for in the coming months.
1996 will be available for digital download and streaming on October 28th 2022.
