What Makes A Great Athlete: The Be Better With Wendy Jones Platform

In sports, success is not always about technique. In fact, the same can be said about life. Wendy Jones knows this. Wendy is a mother of four, writer, coach, and founder of Be Better with Wendy Jones – a community designed for athletes, parents and coaches who want to connect with each other, challenge their potential and find meaning in what they do.

Humans who want to BE BETTER.

Wendy Jones knows what she is talking about. She has over two decades of experience in the athletic, health and wellness field as an athlete, parent, and coach. She has raised two NCAA Division 1 athletes and has built an extensive following for her long-running blog, The Optimists Journal prior to launching her new platform: bebettwerwithwendyjones.com

But Wendy doesn’t stop there. Jones has also recently launched a podcast titled, What I Meant to Say, on which she interviews a wide range of people, including professional athletes, celebrities, coaches, and players, who share their stories of overcoming adversity.

Jones understands firsthand the importance of great coaching and hard work, but also the need that today’s athletes have to develop long term wellness, recovery, and human connection that lead to sustainable high performance.  On her “Be Better” initiative, Jones says, “I wanted to create a place for athletes struggling to juggle academics, competitive travel sports programs, high-level high school sports programs and quality time with friends and family. The platform is designed to be a safe and nurturing place that provides tools to facilitate greater calm, connection, and flow on the court and in life.” She adds, “I know what it’s like to be an athlete (and to parent one), and I have experienced firsthand the burnout, stress, and anxiety that seem to go hand-in-hand with a high-performance lifestyle.”

Wendy has even published a book called 365 Days of Optimism and cumulates all of this knowledge in to the Be Better platform which features online courses, membership opportunity, a library of videos featuring professional and Olympic athletes, wellness practitioners, and healers who provide advice and participate in Q&A sessions in a private community group.

The platform is a passion for Wendy. She believes in healing generational trauma and teaching the next generation to turn their struggles into strengths.

“With the alarming rise in addiction deaths, suicide rates, and self-reported loneliness over the last several years, it is clear there is a critical need for platforms like ‘Be Better,’” Jones concluded.

Wendy teaches key principles of sports and positive psychology as well as mental wellness. She has discovered and developed these principles throughout her life with her own keen awareness of her own story and raising four children and has turned them into a process that has helped hundreds achieve an extremely high level of performance and more importantly relationships that last a lifetime.

As parents, we want our children to be the best they can be, but the pressure to succeed can take a toll on their mental health. About 45 million kids are involved in organized youth sports in the United States and kids also have the added pressures of school, peers, and society itself. All of this pressure can have serious repercussions on their development and mental well-being. We need to remember they are still kids, and this pressure can create burnout, especially in the sports arena.

Wendy’s approach tackles these issues and provides athletes, and parents with a comprehensive way to deal with this pressure. The Be Better With Wendy Jones platform also provides a support through courses, mentoring and health and wellness productions to inspire athletes on a journey of sustainable high performance that helps them connect with their passion for what they truly want to BE…not just in sports, but in life.

Wendy believes the goal is to put the emphasis on BE instead of “do”, and through this we can find BETTER. In these high stakes environments in sports, if we can find 1% BETTER and understand the intangibles of our character, we can push the limits of our potential.

Can Science Explain Psychic Abilities?

Psychic abilities have long been shrouded in mystery and controversy. Some people believe that psychics are gifted with special powers that allow them to see into the future or communicate with the dead. Others believe that psychic abilities are nothing more than tricks used by charlatans to exploit gullible people.

The scientific community has largely dismissed psychic abilities as superstition. However, there is a growing body of research that suggests that some people may indeed have genuine psychic abilities. This research is still in its early stages, and much more work needs to be done to confirm these findings.

Different Types of Psychic Reading Methods

There are different types of psychic reading methods, and you can find different psychic readers who specialize in one or more of these areas:

1. Tarot readings: A tarot reading is a specific type of psychic reading in which a person uses a deck of tarot cards to gain insights into their past, present, or future.

2. Palm readings: A palm reading is another type of psychic reading in which the reader looks at the person’s palm to gain insights into their future.

3. Aura readings: An aura reading is a type of psychic reading where the reader looks at the person’s aura, or energy field, to gain insights into their future.

4. Numerology: Numerology is a type of psychic reading in which the reader looks at the person’s birth date and uses it to gain insights into their future.

5. Astrology: Astrology readings are a type of psychic reading where the reader looks at the position of the stars and planets at the time of a person’s birth and interpret them based on their astrological meanings.

6. Mediumship: Mediumship is a type of psychic reading in which the reader communicates with the spirits of the deceased. The reader will use their psychic abilities to connect with the spirit world and receive messages from the dead.

7. Psychometry: Psychometry is a psychic reading method where the reader gets information about a person or object by touching it.

8. Channeling: Channeling is a type of psychic reading where the reader goes into a trance and allows a spirit guide or other entity to speak through them. The reader will channel the energy of the entity and relay its messages to the person receiving the reading.

9. Remote viewing: In remote viewing psychic reading, the reader uses their psychic abilities to see events that are taking place in another location.

Different Types of Research on Psychic Reading

Psychic reading, also called extrasensory perception (ESP), is a process in which a person obtains information about another person or event without using the five senses of sight, hearing, smell, touch, and taste. There are different types of research that have been conducted on psychic reading. Here is a review of some of this research.

The first type of research on psychic reading was conducted by the Rhine Research Center in North Carolina, USA. They conducted experiments on ESP and published their findings in a book called Extrasensory Perception

To date, they are still involved in psychical research otherwise known as parapsychology

Another research was conducted by the British Society for Psychical Research (BSPR), and they have published many books on psychic research, including a book called Mediumship and Its Evidential Value

The Society for Psychical Research (SPR), a leading organization in the UK devoted to the scientific study of psychic phenomena, has also conducted research and published many books on the subject, including a book called Case Studies in Psychical Research

The above are just a few examples of the different types of research that have been conducted on psychic reading.

Conclusion

The possibility that psychic abilities might be real is an intriguing one. If further research confirms that some people do have genuine psychic abilities, it could have far-reaching implications for our understanding of the human mind.
