Over the years, music has proven to be more than a form of entertainment and pastime. In the case of up-and-coming artist Zane Fields, music is a formative tool allowing him to transform into the best version of himself. Now, he intends to do the same for others.

Although he was born in New Jersey, Zane Fields eventually moved to Clayton County, GA where he grew up. At the age of two, he was raised by a single mother and an older brother with whom he created a close bond. Together, the siblings discovered a passion for football which taught them the core values of discipline and hard work. The sport allowed the rising star to realize his potential and made him aware that he could achieve anything if he kept up with his diligent efforts.

Zane Fields followed his older brother’s footsteps by going off to play Division I Football when he transferred to a junior college after one semester at South Carolina State Zane. Heavily inspired to bring his football dreams to the next level, he unexpectedly ended up in South Georgia. He then furthered his studies in Albany State, where he continued to be on scholarship and played football.

As he relentlessly poured his heart out to football, Zane Fields realized that a piece of him also belonged to another field—music. He discovered his love for the craft when it dawned on him just how much he enjoyed performing in front of massive crowds. By the time he was allowed to perform with Rick Ross in the school’s homecoming concert, the aspiring artist had made the most out of the golden opportunity and wowed the entire student body with his musical flair and remarkable stage presence.

After the said show, platinum-selling superstar Rick Ross told Zane Fields that he was a star that night. This remark lit a fire in his heart and encouraged him to take music more seriously. Since then, he has been unstoppable at bringing his music career to greater heights.

The music industry is known for its highly competitive nature. With thousands of established artists across the globe, it can be challenging for new musicians to make their marks and create a reputable standing. However, Zane Fields still takes the spotlight because of his unique music style and distinctive hip-hop flair. This must-watch artist has proven that anything is possible for those who dauntlessly go after their dreams.

Powerful and passionate end-time preacher Bishop Amere J. May Sr. emphasizes the importance of a father’s influence in shaping a loving, productive, and warm American home in his book The Influence of a Father. 

As a dedicated and loving father to his four children, Amere Jr., Teaya, Armani, and Precious, as well as the grandfather of seven grandchildren, Bishop May has experienced first-hand the joys, demands, and challenges of being a father figure in the home. Taking responsibility to raise godly and good children can be challenging, but because he understood that fatherhood is a calling, he never once thought of giving up or abandoning his duties. Instead, Bishop May found incredible joy in fatherhood and he hopes to impart the same experience to men out there who may be struggling in this area. 

“A father is one that manages their God-given responsibility in life. Responsibility is the lifeline to fatherhood,” Bishop May described in his book. “There’s been a paradigm shift in our American homes. After reading this book, I pray that you will consider having a life-changing conversation with your father. There is a negative reality associated with fatherhood but let’s change the narrative.”

Bishop May is the Senior Pastor of Abundant Faith Worship Center in Charlotte, North Carolina a Pentecostal multicultural church. He is well-loved by many due to his warm, friendly, and loving nature as a father, ministry leader, friend, and brother. He is a very charismatic and prolific speaker, attracting many people to his church and to experience the life-changing power of the Gospel. Interestingly, Bishop May has been called to impact lives through his ministry of reconciliation.

Prior to becoming a full-time minister, Bishop May was a well-known high school basketball star who eventually took a shot at the 1997 NBA draft. He was able to play overseas in the countries Argentina and Israel. It was during his time abroad, however, that the call to go full-time in the ministry became very vivid to him. Without second thoughts, he eventually came home and embraced God’s call in his life. Bishop May submitted to the mentorship of his grandfather, the late Bishop Fred L. Cunningham. Some years later, he married his childhood sweetheart, Kenya, who hails from Chicago, Illinois. 

The Influence of a Father has a very personal attachment to Bishop May as the author.

“I’m living my story. I experienced it, and I shared the pain. Now I put my testimony on paper,” he shared.

He also talks about overcoming grief, pain, and roadblocks in the book, and teaches his readers basic and pragmatic principles he used to become an effective overcomer. By sharing his own story, it is his earnest hope to see more fathers confidently step up and face their responsibilities with dignity, faith, and courage. 

This coming April 1, 2022, Bishop May is sharing his unique experiences and story of triumph over losses in his upcoming book titled A Guide For Athletes & Individuals Who’ve Struggled to Win After Loss.
