Santé Prince: From the San Diego Music Scene to Introducing Water Polo to African Communities

Music means various things to many people, and the pursuit of a career in music takes a different shape depending on the individual perception of what music represents. Perception of music stems from individual experiences, which influence the style, genre, and lyricism of artists’ musical content. To most, music is passion-driven, such as in the case of Santé Prince, whose disposition about music borders on making a difference, reaching diverse communities of underserved people, and uplifting souls with his music and everything he is passionate about.

Although originally from Ghana, Santé Prince was born in San Diego, CA, to a West African father from Ghana and a mother from Compton. Throughout his childhood, Prince embraced his strong African roots and thanks to his American environment where he had his upbringing; he had numerous musical influences he could point at for helping him hone his artistic prowess and ability. As a hip-hop artist with a specialty in rap, songwriting, and record producing, Santé was one of the early hip-hop acts abroad to embrace the unique Afrobeats sound, which had just crossed over from Africa. Through the efforts of the Africans in the diaspora, the wide acceptance of the sound was quicker than anticipated.

Away from music, Santé enjoys time doing sports, especially outdoor sports. He is a professional water polo player whose experience covers his time playing in Spain, Germany, Italy, Brazil, Hungary and Croatia. As a black man who is confident in his abilities and how beneficial the sport has been to his development across every spectrum of life, Santé journeyed into Africa in 2020, to his home country of Ghana, intending to bring the sport closer to the people.

In 2020, at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Santé defied all odds and left the United States with the sole aim of pursuing his passion in sports and music. Within a year and against all odds, he merged his passion for water polo, music, and the African/African-American Liberation through aquatics. Together with stakeholders who have accepted the project, he launched the first Water Polo Club in Ghana and, in a short while, has eliminated the apathetic nature of the locals toward water polo to acceptance on a wide-range level across genders.

Santé Prince is pursuing a successful music career, releasing some of the major hit tracks in the San Diego/California music scene. In addition to his exploits in music, Prince’s attention is now on his motherland, where he believes there is a need to get people to experience certain situations and activities to give them a wide range of options to consider when deciding their passion.

AAA AMC Became Nationwide in 2018

The role of the Appraisal Management Company (AMC) was originally created to stand as a protective firewall between Lenders and Appraisers. It was instituted to prevent any type of influence on Appraisers when completing their market evaluation on a property.

AMCs have existed since the 1960s but not in the numbers they do today; of course, business volumes have grown over that time period.

Just like the name implies, AAA AMC is the best in the business!

AAA AMC is one of a handful of Woman Owned Appraisal Management Companies in the United States. AAA AMC is the ONLY nationwide, Certified Women Owned AMC via the WBENC in the USA.

It was founded in 2008 by its Founder and CEO, Marlene Chaker with a keen focus on quality, customer service, and dedication to both her clients and vendors.

AAA AMC does not just promise the best, they deliver the best!

They value their clients and their borrowers, and they can understand that time is of the essence when closing a loan. That is why clients of AAA AMC are accustomed to receiving the best appraisal reports delivered on time by the top Appraisers the industry has to offer.

What AAA AMC’s clients and Industry Leaders are saying about them:

“ …We are always excited to see our members enjoy sustained success and excellence, and AAA-AMC is not only one of the premier appraisal management companies in the nation, they are a model for our industry to follow.”

Dustin Hobbs, Communications Director,
California MBA, CA

Talk about positive attitude! I looked up the definition of positive attitude in the dictionary and they had your picture in there.

Let’s see…optimistic (check), positive (check), persistent (check), generous (check), grateful immigrant (check), creative owner and founder (check), fun, friendly, collaborative, competitive person (check, check, check, check).”

Doug Duncan, SVP & Chief Economist at
Fannie Mae

What AAA AMC’s appraisers and Industry Leaders are saying about them:

“Since I started my collaboration with AAA AMC, I found a very professional team but with a lot of human touch. Whenever I asked for help, someone was there for me, whenever I did a good job, someone just told me that.

Those are things that make a difference in our business!!”

Dan Ciora, Appraiser,
DC Valuation Services, Los Angeles, CA

Their entire office works so hard and always treats me with great respect and also very personal – like I a person, not a nobody – I love that, thank you!

I am always to happy when an email comes over with an offer of an order!
Thank you so much for having me on your list of approved appraisers and I really enjoy working with you all.”

Kristine Polanco, Appraiser,
On Target Appraisals, CA

AAA AMC understands the changing regulatory and compliance environment in which their industry is part of and that is why they are members of both the Mortgage Bankers Association and the California MBA.

Their Founder and CEO, Marlene Chaker, has sat as a Board of Directors for the California MBA since 2017. Their team is regularly attending events around our Nation to ensure they are well educated and ahead of all changes.

Their highly trained and experienced staff is ready to serve you with fast response times and accurate updates on all your open orders and pending questions.       5. Sarah Morrison & Helen Brown

Little Box Gym Ltd is run by mother-and-daughter duo Sarah Morrison and Helen Brown.

Sarah was concerned that during her training and qualification to becoming a personal trainer that the approach to fitness was very much centred around those people who would already attend gyms and less about those who wouldn’t because they felt intimidated by the equipment and space and yet would benefit from managing their own mental health and wellbeing. That’s why, at Little Box Gym, we can offer the full range of facilities that a fully functional gym offers but within a boutique setting.

We pride ourselves on being a small, friendly, accessible gym for all. We target the general population, not just those who are already fit and active. We look to make exercise a part of people’s lives no matter whether that be starting with walking or joining in a class, we try to make it a part of a client’s mindset to do something every day.

To not feel intimidated or conscious about being active. To make this a positive and enjoyable experience and to want to do it again!

      6. Hart Main

Hart Main is among the decade’s youngest rising entrepreneurs. Main started his company called ManCans back in 2010 when he was only 13 years old. The candle company is best known for its candles made with “manly” scents. Main saw a gap in the scented candle arena, noting that most products available were marketed for girls. Hence the birth of ManCans.

As he was a teenager at that time, Main began his entrepreneurial journey with a simple goal in mind: to buy a $1,200 bike for him to use in triathlons. Little did the young entrepreneur know that his candle-making business, which started in his kitchen and was sold primarily to family and friends, would eventually grow into a nationwide phenomenon. Today, ManCans is produced in partnership with Beaver Creek Candle Co. and is distributed across 150 stores in the United States.

      7. Ryan Sprance

He started his professional career with a position in retail and eventually worked his way up the ranks and played a crucial leadership role in managing over 500 T-Mobile stores.

Wanting to start something of his own, Sprance started building his digital media brand as a side hustle, but that got him into trouble with the company he was working for. So Sprance left his corporate job and focused his energy instead toward building Kaihatsu Media.

“I felt connected to the strategic aspect of developing and managing campaigns and decided that I wanted to build an agency to help brands understand the challenging digital media landscape,” said Sprance.

Kaihatsu means “to develop” in Japanese, and it has successfully lived up to its name as it has impacted brands and communities across the country.

      8. Kevin Tan

Kevin Tan is the co-founder and CEO of Snackpass, a mobile app that boomed from serving college students at Yale into a million-dollar platform. Tan had the idea during his last semester in College while sitting in an economics lecture. In 2017, together with his co-founders, John and Jamie, they built one of the first startups created in Yale. During that time, they did not get the boost they needed, no capital to fund the venture, and the group had to rely on various side hustles to keep the app running.

Tan shared that it was definitely a challenging and overwhelming year. But not long after launching in 2017, Snackpass picked up its momentum and was used by 40% of the students in Yale, and it continually grew into the food empire it is today. Over the last four years, the app has generated over 500,000 users, mainly from 12 college towns, and is currently valued at around $400 million. Furthermore, Tan and his team secured a $70 million Series B funding earlier this year.

      9. Mike Grillo

Mike Grillo is the CEO and co-founder of Gravity Products, hailed as one of Entrepreneur Magazine’s 100 Brilliant Companies. Consequently, his other creation, The Gravity Blanket, was named one of TIME’s Best Inventions of 2018. Grillo continues to spearhead the brand strategy, product development, and corporate operations of Gravity.

Grillo’s primary mission is to provide customers across the globe with comfortable sleep and relaxation products, and he did not disappoint anyone with Gravity Products.
