As a kid, coming from an immigrant Asian family, Alex Lee believed schooling would help him become successful in life. Hence, from Incheon, South Korea, they moved to Los Angeles in 2001. However, by the time he reached high school, he questioned whether he could even afford to go to school. To support his education, Alex Lee even joined the United States Marine Corps Reserve. This took this youngster from one expedition to the other, from a Bootcamp to North Carolina and back home to pursue his studies. During this time, he worked as a bartender at a restaurant to make ends meet. This was when he began to question whether school was necessary to pursue his passion in starting a business.

Instead of continuing with school, he went on activation to Hohenfels, Germany and shortly after to Okinawa, Japan, and then finally dropped out of school. Later, he bought his first property using the benefits he obtained while in service at the young age of 23.

Alex Lee understood where he wanted to reach in life, and hence, he began doing door-to-door solar panel sales. Though he faced innumerable challenges along his path, he kept at it, moving consistently to work around his dreams. This led him to earn his first sale in the sixth week, which motivated him further to take the sales and marketing space by storm. Today, Alex Lee is the owner of ‘Paxton Energy’, where he partners with several contractors, promoting solar and other home improvements.

Alex took the leadership skills he was able to learn while serving as a Non-Commissioned Officer in the Marine Corps and has his company operating, utilizing the small unit leadership concept of the Marines.

Alex gives full credit to the team that he is privileged to work with because none of their successes would be possible without them. By surrounding himself with highly driven and disciplined individuals that make up the team’s dynamic, Alex can feed off the team’s energy and continue to build together.
