Rising Star ImSoMaleek Entrances Audiences with Brand-New EP, “Soul Shift”
The music industry is chock full of talented artists cropping up from every corner. ImSoMaleek is one such artist who has gained prominence through the quality of his music and his amazing talent. Hailing from the Bronx, New York, the rising musical artist has definitely made a name for himself through his upstanding musical career.
Back then, ImSoMaleek was merely an IG tag, but people started to hit him up and call him by the moniker, so it eventually stuck with him throughout his journey. His foray into the music world officially began when he did his first tour with the country singer Kenny Rogers when he was about six or seven years old.
Nowadays, ImSoMaleek has risen as a powerful force in the music industry with his unique sound and remarkable talent. Growing up, he listened to hip-hop, R&B, jazz, alternative, pop, and a lot of other genres from which he draws massive inspiration. With his background in theatre, he played Simba on a Broadway adaptation of “The Lion King.”
ImSoMaleek fully admits that he tries to implement things that he has learned along the way in his music. “If soul music had a baby with hip-hop and jazz, then that would be my music,” says the renowned rising artist. When asked about how he started his journey in the music industry ImSoMaleek had this to say: “Honestly, it was something I feel was given to me from birth. I started in the choir where I had to sing almost every Sunday, then that transformed me into doing bigger things.”
ImSoMaleek has launched his latest release on April 9. His latest project is an EP entitled Soul Shift, which aims to revitalize what we now know as R&B today. “The EP is all about getting that sound back of why people fell in love with Rhythm and Blues. This is just the warm-up,” says ImSoMaleek. The project itself is inspired by his own personal experiences while listening to his own songs, something he never really does, but on that fateful day, he truly realized what it meant to express his soul.
ImSoMaleek hopes that Soul Shift makes audiences feel the energy that he hopes to channel with his music. With his recent LP release, “Insomniak,” the full-fledged artist fully admits that the project was his way of maturing as an artist, and looking towards the future, he will be sharing his full-length album called King Of The Hill. The album will be narrated by Dave East!
The rising star is poised to heat up the music landscape with what he’s been cooking up recently. Each release aims to resonate with his audience, and ImSoMaleek is well on his way toward becoming a household name in the music industry. The man is non-stop, as he aims to dominate the music industry with his sheer talent and passion for his craft, and he’s just getting warmed up.
