Build a New Habitat to Jumpstart Your Business Endeavors

Community has never been more important. After quarantining, social distancing, and learning how to keep up with friends and family virtually, community is what keeps us going; we’re all in this together. And part of a community certainly includes the home you live in; we all need a place to call our own.

Although, now more than ever, we’re all yearning to get out of our homes and discover new places. Some of us are renting homes in fun destinations for a change of scenery given remote work flexibility. When looking to purchase a new home, most connect with a real estate agent who knows the market inside and out, so why wouldn’t you consider a similar partnership for your travels? This helps to explain how hospitality and real estate are married together, which inspired a business called Habitats by Kat (HBK).

HBK is a global real estate travel community providing the necessary platforms for entrepreneurs or consultants to build their own business and brand. HBK is the first travel community, or better yet “HABITAT,” that focuses on real estate. HBK’s role is to remain behind the scenes while supporting consultants to become their own CEO. The company believes that each entrepreneur should be empowered to develop their own brand voice, and they are your secret toolbox.

The founders, who also happen to be twin sisters, are Kat Friedman and Sam Heyer. Kat is based in New York City, and Sam is based in Denver, CO. They are also both in real estate and are passionate about helping others build their own businesses and become their own CEOs. Kat worked in the hotel industry for almost ten years and held different sales and client service roles that could be applied to the world of real estate. Sam worked in the public relations industry, also for almost ten years, and is now utilizing her communication and leadership skills to mentor others who are ready to take a risk.

HBK offers consultants (and in turn their clientele bases) access to vacation properties, hotels, resorts group event needs, and epic experiences. Both Kat and Sam consider themselves full service agents in both real estate and hospitality and love helping others build their own businesses with our habitat backing them (all behind the scenes).

Affordable pricing is also offered to HBK consultants to start their businesses. They have packages that are very straightforward that consumers can relate to based on where they are in becoming their own boss. The key items offered in all packages are access to global real estate, hotels, resorts, your own website, business insurance, digital marketing, social media support, ongoing mentorship from Kat and Sam, and more.

  • The Side Hustler Package: $500 On-Boarding Fee, $75 Dollars Monthly and 70% Split
  • The Aspiring Entrepreneur: $1,500 On-Boarding Fee, $100 Dollars Monthly and 80% Split
  • The CEO: $1,500 On-Boarding Fee, $150 Dollars Monthly and 90% Split

Everyone settles for comfort and access. That is why many entrepreneurs innovate their services. Kat and Sam are some of the very few exceptional people who use background experiences and wit to elevate their capacity in providing fast, efficient, and honest service.

Are you ready for a side hustle? Are you already an entrepreneur who needs help to grow your business? Do you love to travel and share your experiences with others? Are you a real estate agent looking to expand your revenue? Be part of the growing community that HBK has to offer. If you want to know more about the company, browse through the website. Cody Renee Cameron’s Inspiring Journey from “Best Darn Dead Girl in Hollywood” to Star Villain

For some, Hollywood is a place of nightmares; a constantly churning three-ring circus where the auditions are brutal, and the rejection is worse. But for those who want it badly enough, who can feel the spotlight singing in their soul, Hollywood can be an oasis of opportunities. One such soul resides fiercely in the chest of Cody Renee Cameron, a rising star who has proven time and time again, that there is no such thing as a small part. From being cast as a corpse seven times over to becoming the main villain in Robin Bain’s film Girl Lost: A Hollywood Story, Cameron is living proof that dreams do come true to those who have the grit to embrace the grind and the patience to wait for the opportune moment.

Actors often dismiss roles like ‘Prostitute’, ‘Stripper’, and ‘Corpse’ as being beneath them, but if movies only had main characters, the world of the film would suffer. And as a published model, having been featured in Playboy Magazine, Cody Cameron is no stranger to showing a little skin. So instead of turning up her nose, Cameron chose to play to the strengths that others refused to showcase and jumped in headfirst, honing her craft in the best place imaginable: on set.

Since then, Cody has been coined the “Best Darn Dead Girl in Hollywood”. She’s been murdered on set on countless occasions, some of her favorite death scenes including her character Angel in the movie Girls, Guns, and Blood, and as Hooker in Tree #2 in Tosh.0 on Comedy Central.

But her big-screen debut came when her skill for playing dead landed her a spot in the notorious cadaver scene alongside Jena Malone in The Neon Demon, directed by award-winning Danish director Nicolas Refn. The film launched her career into larger projects, and in 2019, Cameron worked alongside Aaron Paul in El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie. Her other recent projects include working with Dwayne Johnson in Ballers, James Franco in The Deuce, and Kristin Bell in Veronica Mars, as well as starring in the cult-classic Barbie and Kendra trilogy.

Then in 2020, to no one’s surprise, Cameron took another huge step up the Los Angeles ladder by landing the starring villain role in Girl Lost: A Hollywood Story, the #1 Trending Drama on Amazon Prime. The indie film delves deep into the seedy underbelly of Hollywood’s sex industry, and Cody’s character Paige is the master manipulator, the ringleader pulling the strings. A survivor of an abusive childhood, but still unable to change the course of her fate, she seeks to coerce other young girls into the trade until she flips the script and becomes the hunter herself.

Finally feeling as though she’s broken through the ‘pretty girl ceiling’, Cody Cameron is looking forward to the chance to flex her acting chops in meatier, upcoming roles. She’s always been a dedicated student and is constantly taking classes to learn new techniques and train with the best in the film industry, studying under both Lesly Kahn and John Coppola. “A lot of pretty girls move to this town to model and then try to do the acting thing,” Cameron says. “But acting isn’t something that comes naturally. It takes a ton of hard work, studying, brutal years of auditions, and being told no… and then being told yes and working insanely long hours. I love it, but it’s not for the faint of heart!”

In addition to finishing her college education at the University of Illinois, Cody has also trained at Creative Combat LLC for fighting on film, Upright Citizens Brigade for comedy, and with Wire Fighters for wire stunt work. “I can do my own stunts and I often stunt double for other girls” Cameron boasts. “I do fight choreography, get thrown against walls, flip on wires, and race motorcycles down heavily trafficked highways.”

Cameron can often be seen riding her Harley around Hollywood with her adorable dog children Cheetoh and Chopper (who also routinely make cameos in her film work). A delicious little cocktail of Midwest sweet and LA chic, she always keeps us guessing. Whether she’s playing the trumpet or firing off a .22 on the gun range, she’s always the life of the party, and we can’t wait to see what she does next.
