Mehran Rowshan Raising the Next Generation through Football
For some people, football is nothing more than another sport. But for purists and enthusiasts, there’s more to the game than meets the eye. Football coach and community leader Mehran Rowshan has accordingly built up a movement that’s molding young football players into leaders on and off the field.
Mehran is one of the most respected football coaches in Dubai and the founder of Alliance Football Club, an elite program that has trained over 10,000 players in the last few years. The organization focuses on training and developing a player’s football IQ while also building up essential life skills that help prepare the youth for the challenges and hurdles they will face later in life. Its mission is to give members an avenue to pursue something they are passionate about and learn the importance of competitiveness, hard work, dedication, and sportsmanship.
Long before Alliance even came to life, Mehran Rowshan always had a special place in his heart for football. The coach and program leader’s family was a prominent force in the soccer world back in his hometown of Tehran. Mehran’s grandfather was one of the founding members of TaJ, one of Asia’s most prestigious football clubs. His uncle, Hassan Rowshan, would become an influential sports icon and player at a national level, becoming the only Iranian player to score in the Asian Cup, World Cup, and the Olympics.
Through the influence of his predecessors, Mehran would develop an undeniable passion for football. He started playing at an early age but would face a significant setback after experiencing a career-ending injury that would close all doors to a professional football journey.
However, Mehran Rowshan was determined to build a life around the one thing he loved most in this world, so he took to coaching, which he would discover he was extremely good at. At the age of twenty-two, Mehran became a professional coach after picking up an Economics and Management degree. Mehran had already played at a global tournament level by visiting countries like England, Spain, Portugal, and Holland. When he focused on coaching, his influence on the game would skyrocket as he became a multiple FA-qualified coach.
In 2009, Mehran co-founded Arsenal Soccer School in Dubai. In 2015, he would start Alliance Football Club, turning it into a youth sports and development training powerhouse that was at a different level from the beginning. Today, Mehran does more than train kids, teenagers, and young adults to kick a ball on a field at Alliance. He also advocates and trains people in nutrition, psychology, life coaching, mentorship, etc. Mehran has created over 300 unique football drills to enhance individual and team games for thousands of students.
Mehran’s life-altering programs have prepared many of his students physically and mentally to face challenges head-on. For the distinguished football and mindset coach, his work at Alliance Football Club creates an avenue to provide brain training, mental health first-aid, decision-making training, and nutrition coach. He hopes that his organization would become a hub for young boys and girls who want to improve their game and way of life through top-tier coaching.
