Born in China, Yixuan took the courageous step of moving to the United States alone at 16 to attend high school. With a keen interest in the interplay of business and technology, she completed her undergraduate studies at SUNY Buffalo with highest honor Summa Cum Laude, concentrating on Management Information Systems and Supply Chain Operations Management. This advanced STEM degree positioned her at the cutting edge of technological innovation.

During her Master’s program, Yixuan co-authored a public blog on predicting credit card defaults using Machine Learning algorithms and advanced data handling techniques. In this role, she delves into the intricate world of data engineering and contributes to expanding ML and AI applications. Just 1.5 years into her position, Yixuan has already written one article and reviewed five articles within the company on data pre-processing, sharing insights on analyzing data effectively to accelerate the ML and deep learning model-feeding process. Yixuan Jin is on track to publish another external-facing article by the end of this year, focusing on the intricacies of data analytics and the construction of robust data pipelines to enhance data quality. Her forthcoming work promises to offer valuable insights into optimizing the backbone of machine learning processes. Her work underscores the critical importance of data quality—a determinant of the predictive success of AI and ML models.
