Being fearless does not always come easy and Jacinta Robison knows the first step is sometimes the hardest to take.
Leaving school at a young age due to bullying and dyslexia, Jacinta excelled at hairdressing but found her health was suffering under the stress of long hours at her job. Beginning her fitness journey inspired her to forge a new career path as a personal trainer and find fulfillment in helping others reach their goals.
The challenge of overcoming her personal fitness struggles is what inspired her to launch the Fearlss Academy. She helps other women reach new levels of health, fitness, and confidence and empowers them to become better versions of themselves.
Jacinta quit school and started hairdressing at the age of 14. As someone who loved being around people, she thrived on making others feel confident in their appearance. Her commitment to clients and her career meant she quickly climbed the management ranks, running several salons by the age of 21.
But under the pressure of a leadership position, her health suffered. She would binge eat unhealthy foods like potato chips, cookie dough, and diet soda for convenience. Yo-yo dieting became the norm in an attempt to lose weight but she knew deep down it was unhealthy.
Jacinta knew something had to change.
In 2016, she packed up her bags and moved more than 350kms from her rural hometown of Bundaberg on Queensland’s Central Coast to the state’s capital, Brisbane, so she could study to become a personal fitness trainer. She kept hairdressing as a part-time job but she really fell in love with helping people transform from the inside out.
Cleaning up her diet, adopting a vegan lifestyle, and training consistently helped Jacinta get into the best shape of her life. In 2017, she hired a professional coach and competed in the World Beauty Fitness and Fashion (WBFF) fitness model competition, finally confident enough to take the stage in a bikini.
The electric feeling of being on stage was something she wanted others to feel. Taking all that she had learned through her own fitness journey, Jacinta committed to a career in fitness to help others reach their full potential.
Drawing on a love of people and connection, she created a community of people to join various physical activities such as hiking, running, and working out. While challenging others to push their limits, she practiced what she preached by setting herself the goal of hiking Flinders Peak Mountain in Brisbane, Australia, for 12 hours straight and raised over $10,000 for a children’s charity.
By 2019, she had finally quit hairdressing to focus on fitness full-time. Now, Jacinta has helped hundreds of people become fit and confident by adopting a balanced, plant-based lifestyle and fitness routine through her online community,Fearlss Academy.
Her mission is to help 1 million people around the world transform their health.
