The AirPods Pro announcement during the Apple Event was one of three new devices on September 7.
During the revelation, Apple hyped the AirPods to be the biggest in the lineup yet.
The AirPods Pro 2nd generation will be available for pre-order on September 9 and will be available in stores on September 23.
Bob Borchers, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing, shared his enthusiasm with a statement, saying:
“AirPods revolutionized the wireless category with an innovative design and incredible sound quality. With the new AirPods Pro, Apple raises the bar once again.”
“The new AirPods Pro deliver even better sound quality, a more immersive listening experience with Personalized Spatial Audio, and transformative audio features like Adaptive Transparency.”
“With up to double the noise-canceling power of their predecessor, the world’s bestselling wireless headphones just got even better.”
What the new AirPods bring
The new AirPods Pro comes with the new H2 chip to bring breakthrough audio performance.
The new chip provides major upgrades to the Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency modes.
It also gives users a unique experience with Spatial Audio that’s more immersive when they’re out and about.
Users also have a Touch control that allows media playback and volume adjustments.
Some of the new additions to the AirPod Pro are a longer battery life, a brand-new charging case, and an additional ear tip size for a better fit.
The new AirPod Pro is built with a lightweight and compact body powered by the H2 chip, providing a unique acoustic experience and canceling twice as much noise.
It also comes with a new low-distortion audio driver and custom amplifier, giving a richer bass and crystal-clear sound across a range of frequencies.
The new AirPods provide comfort with an in-ear fit, with an extra small ear tip added.
Despite the noise-canceling feature, it features a transparency mode with Adaptive Transparency that lets users stay connected and aware of the outside world.
With the H2 chip, users also have an on-device processing, reducing loud environmental noise for comfortable daily listening.
Users also no longer have to turn to their devices to change their volumes as the Touch control.
They can either speak to Siri or make a light swipe on the stem for quick volume adjustments.
The AirPods Pro offers 1.5 hours of additional listening compared to the previous model.
The case also gives four additional charges so users can have up to 30 hours of total listening time.
Users have more flexibility for their travels as the AirPod Pro’s charger allows use of a MagSafe charger, Qi-certified charging mat, or the lightning cable.
The charging case is also sweat and water-resistant with a lanyard loop to make it reachable.
It comes with Precision Finding that allows U1-enabled iPhones to locate their charging case, which comes with a built-in speaker for louder tones to make it easier to find.
People with the AirPod Pros can also personalize their charging case with their individual custom-posed Memoji.
