Coming from a winding journey that has spanned multiple careers and jobs, Paige Boyd chose the beauty industry because it gives her enough room to be creative and expressive while helping people look good and boost their confidence. The New Orleans native spent five years in the Navy as an Aviation Boatswain Mate Equipment at the Norfolk, VA station, where she went on only one combat tour before she enrolled at Paul Mitchell the School Raleigh in 2018 to study cosmetology.
The multicultural licensed cosmetologist thought she would enjoy working every day, but that was far from her reality when she started working. She hated her job and began to think about what she could do to make herself happy. That took her back to her passion for hair and makeup, and she pursued becoming a licensed professional.
Located in Fayetteville, NC, Beauty Picasso LLC is a product of creativity with the end goal of accentuating its clients’ natural beauty. Since it began operations, its success has been hinged on Paige’s creative mind and understanding of makeup and hairstyles.
“The beauty of what we do is that not everyone has the gift of understanding hairstyles and makeup and how they accentuate people’s beauty. Personally, everything about making people look good makes me happy, and I am happy to do this every day for as long as possible,” Paige Boyd said.
Beauty Picasso LLC targets women and everyone in the hair and beauty industry. Paige Boyd takes her time to listen to the clients’ needs, wants and concerns and works with them to achieve the best possible results for their hair.
“There are so many cosmetologists out there, but only a few genuinely care about their clients’ hair! I also pride myself in being able to style all hair types from super fine and straight to thick and curly hair,” she said.
Paige Boyd’s motivation to build Beauty Picasso LLC comes from how much she can do for people to help them look better and her journey so far in her career. Over the next few years, she hopes to help and guide as many people as possible to get into the beauty industry. In addition, she plans to be an educator, teaching other cosmetologists and offering continuing education classes that cover hair coloring, hair extensions, and makeup.
She also sees herself opening her own salon suites where Beauty Picasso LLC can operate, take clients and expand its range of services.
“I believe the sky’s the limit. You never know what opportunity could knock on your door. So, I work every day to be prepared for all these new opportunities and do the best I can with them,”
