Manny McLaren’s journey has been all but easy, but it’s incredible what the entrepreneur has made for himself with his drive, hard work, and willingness to push himself to higher limits.
Emmanuel Almonor, aka Manny McLaren, has a deep business portfolio. His ventures started with small enterprises, which included car washes, lawn care services, and prepaid phone stores. But today, he’s grown his empire to a collection of large-scale companies with investments made into call centers, tax offices, and a major music label.
Emmanuel’s entrepreneurial story starts at an early age. When he was only seventeen, he started working day jobs while earning extra cash on the side from fixing phones, game consoles, and other gadgets. Almonor’s first jobs were mostly minimum wage gigs, but he was determined to pay his dues and work his way up.
One of his early breaks came when he was working in AT&T when his manager approached him and offered him a position in sales. McLaren accepted and found his niche in selling. Within a matter of two months, he was already making it to the list of top ten salespeople in the company. After an extra month, he was promoted to store manager.
But everything went south when there was a mass resignation in his store. Manny ended up working upwards of 60 hour weeks to maintain performance. But after putting in blood, sweat, and tears into his domain, Emmanuel not only saved the store but doubled its numbers. That got the attention of higher-ups. Soon enough, Manny was getting transferred to an even bigger store. He went on to run multiple stores for AT&T and later got bumped up to District Training Manager.
Since Manny was incredibly young for a man who had achieved his status, he was able to store up cash for the fateful day when he would go from employee to employer and start his venture.
One of the high turning points for Manny was meeting a man at a Casino who was burning through his money recklessly. Emmanuel knew right away that he wanted to reach out to the tycoon and learn from him. He networked with the big spender and found out he owned a call center. That was Manny’s signal to jump into the rising wave.
He took the leap of faith and left his day job to start a call center. In a short amount of time, the business began to take off, and he soon found himself starting more ventures. He later made more significant entrepreneurial leaps and set up nine tax offices, a few daycares, and real estate companies. Emmanuel also started to acquire multiple Amazon stores, which became massive hits.
But one of Almonor’s most significant milestones was starting Omega Music Marketing, a venture that had always been a dream for the business executive. Through his music company, Emmanuel began to sign artists, some of which include names like A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Migos, Tyla Yaweh, London On The Track, Off the Wall Producer OTW407, Young Gambino, Easy Money Jav, and Rippa DeLaHoya to name a few.
Stories like Emmanuel’s are proof that drive and determination pay off. The entrepreneur hopes to accomplish more and continue to build more businesses that will put him on the map as one of the country’s top innovators.
