Yung Hassi: From Bullied Teenager to Social Media Celebrity

Bullied teenagers never have it easy. Most bullied teenagers wish there was some way to become popular and have everyone like them instead of hating them. In high school, Yung Hassi was always picked on by other kids because of his Palestinian ancestry. It made no difference to these kids that Hassi was actually born in Atlanta, Georgia, which meant that he was an American just like them.

To make matters worse, Hassi couldn’t even hold down a job either. His bosses kept firing him for different reasons, which worried his family immensely. On the surface, people might think Hassi was too different than everyone else, and in a way, he was. But the attributes that made him different were not necessarily bad. That is what people misunderstood about him.

Hassi had dreams that were bigger than going to school or working a typical 9-to-5 job. He wanted to become widely popular and earn a lot of money at the same time. The entertainment industry always interested him, but he knew he didn’t have the talent to become a singer or musician. But what if he could promote the works of other singers and musicians? This thought intrigued him.

Hassi decided that he wanted to build pages on social media and attract thousands of followers to them. However, the one challenge here was that Hassi was not a celebrity, nor was he interesting. He had to come up with a way to get people’s attention and make them want to come to his pages. That was when he came up with the idea of creating meme pages on Instagram and Twitter.

Memes have been popular on the internet for years now. They are basically humorous images of celebrities or ordinary people that convey real-life messages or ideas. Meme images typically get spread around the internet through sharing on social media. Hassi built several different meme pages on his Instagram and Twitter accounts. The humor and wit of these pages did not go unnoticed for very long.

From 2015 to 2016, his Twitter account and Instagram account gained 5 million followers. From 2016 to 2019, he gained 10 million more followers which brings him to a total of 15 million followers. As you can imagine, there are two major benefits to having millions of followers on social media. First, you gain a lot of popularity and become a social media celebrity. Second, you have the chance to monetize your pages through ad placement opportunities.

Hassi achieved both benefits within his first year. Now that he has almost 20 million followers, he is earning well over six figures in income annually. And he is not in the lower six-figure range either, but rather the upper six-figure range. He managed to save over a million dollars after a couple of years. He’s using his newfound wealth to invest in real estate and to start his own restaurant someday.

As a social media celebrity, Hassi collaborates with other celebrities like Logan Paul, and Ray J. He does promotional deals for them on his Instagram and Twitter pages. His list of celebrity clients is growing by the day as he continues to gain new followers.
