Serial Entrepreneur DJ Chi Oriji Officially Launches Independent Music Label

One of the world’s most sought-after disk jockeys and serial entrepreneur, DJ Chi Oriji, is gearing up for another explosive feat this 2021 as he prepares to launch his most recent venture, Orijinal Music Group (OMG). The independent music label is the latest addition to DJ Chi Oriji’s creative ventures, which include global event curation, artist management, producing, and sound engineering. The launching of the music label seeks to discover aspiring and authentic music artists who wish to create their mark in the million-dollar music industry.

Originally and unofficially, Orijinal Music Group was developed in 2017. DJ Chi Oriji worked on it with his brother Ebube. At the time of the unofficial launch, the Oriji brothers signed artists Che and Jaey London under their management. Their creative guidance has propelled Che to become a thriving trap and B artist. He is a nominee for the 2020 Grammy Awards for his songwriting abilities for Maxi Priest’s album titled It All Comes Back to Love.

“There is so much talent out there but not enough companies who are looking out for the best interests of their artists. I believe in being as transparent as possible with anyone I work with. I want the people I work with to know exactly how much work it takes to become successful in the music industry. These principles motivated me to create a culture for growth not only as an artist but as a human being,” DJ Chi Oriji reveals.

Born Chiemelam Oriji, DJ Chi Oriji started his DJ career in 2013. He is best known for performing as headliner DJ for Festivent de Levis in Quebec, Canada, and the Austin City Limits Festival in Texas. Aside from these, he has also opened for several well-known artists such as Sean Paul, Davido, DJ Tunez, Burna Boy, Afro B, and Meg Thee Stallion, among others.

He is also the founder and curator of Afrofest Tour, the world’s biggest African-Caribbean indoor festival to tour around the United States. The tour attracts thousands of attendees per show as it goes around ten major cities in the U.S. DJ Chi Oriji intends to expand it further to be able to reach more music enthusiasts in the future.

DJ Chi Oriji sees himself rising to the top of the youngest moguls list in the music industry with hard work, persistence, and a clear vision of his aspirations in life. Furthermore, he envisions Orijinal Music Group becoming a safe haven for many young artists today who miss out on great opportunities as a result of their lack of connections in the industry. Looking ahead, the dedicated entrepreneur sees his company expanding to different parts of the world, giving equal opportunities to emerging music artists who lack the means to produce and promote their own music.

Developing Orijinal Music Group as a company that will be known for its deep concern for the well-being of its artists is something that DJ Chi Oriji is taking seriously. As he endeavors to educate artists on the business aspect of building a music career, he looks forward to empowering the next generation of award-winning singers to live out their best lives.
