Mischiff is a New York-born songwriter, creative director, and Pop/Hip Hop artist. Mischiff’s stage name was inspired by his nickname “Malito,” which is translated in Spanish to mean a mischievous child. He preferred to indulge in creative activities in his younger years rather than spend time playing video games and watching TV. His relentless search for creativity led to the revelation of his love for music, and ultimately making a career out of it – first as a DJ, then music production, and finally rapping and singing.
Mischiff began his journey into a career in music in 2012 when he was just 15 years old. His inspiration to become a DJ was due to his interactions with the works of the late American Disc Jockey DJ AM. He spent several months immersing himself in his chosen path, learning and honing his skills continuously until he was ready to emerge and showcase his talent to the world.
His first opportunity as a DJ was in a school dance for his middle school in Freeport, New York. The success of that first event served as a springboard for his musical career and soon began to flourish. Over the next couple of years, Mischiff went on to perform at several clubs and events. He also got involved in music production – adding a vital skill set that would become very useful down the line – while also serving as a Public Affairs Specialist for the New York Army National Guard. During his service, the National Guard instilled time management in Mischiff. He also broadened his creative capacity, picking up Videography, Photography, and even journalism. In time, Mischiff realized that all these skills and traits became essential to masterminding his music career.
Mischiff is an independent artist and has complete autonomy over his music and image, bringing a distinctive aspect to his craft that is refreshing and authentic. His brand is the product of dedication and hard work interlaced with musical brilliance and a relaxed style. From his repertoire of skills and experience, Mischiff now ushers in a debut of original music.
