Debatable as it may be, there are different ways to define success. The profession one chooses for themselves does not determine it, and neither is it gauged by how much money one can generate. However, it remains true that there is a bias against several endeavors. It is not rare to hear stories of an aspirant disowned for their choice of career. Musicians, in particular, receive a lot of scorn from their family and friends because of the belief that pursuing artistry means that one is not serious about making it in life.
Stackin Up Entertainment and its founder Gregory Craig Brown, Jr. want to drive home the point that accomplishments are achievable in any industry one delves into.
This music record label based in Richmond, Virginia, offers major distribution with EMPIRE Distribution. As a professional label with the technical know-how in terms of effectively campaigning an artist’s record, Stackin Up Entertainment has gained recognition for enabling its artists to thrive in a very competitive and brutal industry.
Due to his exposure to the field, Gregory knows the immeasurable significance a label has in building the future of an artist. This Norfolk State University alumnus spent thousands of hours of recording in a studio graced by the likes of Pharrell Williams. And those hours, combined with his knowledge as a degree holder in Mass Communications and Music Technology as well as his experience working with talents from the East and West Coasts, motivated him to create the label Stackin Up Entertainment.
Gregory had always wanted to go to the NBA growing up and make it a career. When he was 14years old, he tried out for the basketball team and the nurse who did his physical examination checked his heart and said, ”Your heartbeat is abnormal, irregular, and you can die any day now.” That prevented Gregory from wanting to pursue his dream again because of the fear of losing his life. So while he wasn’t picked for the game, Gregory picked up music and it became his NBA. With a deep-rooted passion for music, he treats it like a sport each and every day, and lives inside of him.
Gregory’s company is fueled by its dedication to making visions come true. It has worked with countless artists in the industry, crafting strategies that transform ambitions and ideas to life. Moreover, it is a brand that believes in continuous growth, outstanding professionalism, unwavering confidence, innovation, relationship-building, and longevity. By sticking to these values, Stackin Up Entertainment is able to serve as an integral driving factor behind its artists’ achievements.
Ever since its establishment in 2018, this powerhouse has been creating a bridge that connects its artists with their target audiences. Through its exceptional and organic promotional efforts, musicians under the company’s care are assured that their music will find their way to the listeners’ feeds and playlists.
Stackin Up Entertainment does not only excel at digital campaigns and marketing. It also offers distribution services, promotional strategies, mixing/mastering services, music production, and social media services.
In the coming years, Gregory and the brilliant team that makes up the company want to put up a commercial building. They also envision organizing classes for kids and teaching them about engineering, music production, marketing, and more. More significantly, this acclaimed institution wants the youth to know that they do not have to conform to societal norms and can take pride in their desire to pursue the path of a musician over that of a lawyer or doctor.
Furthermore, Stackin Up Entertainment intends to be a community-builder, planning to raise money that will allow the youth in schools to explore their passion for music. And its long-term goals include showcasing the abundance of talent in Virginia and introducing their voices to the world.
With Gregory’s and Stackin Up Entertainment’s genuine commitment to creating success for their artists, the industry can expect to have this powerhouse as a mainstay.
