In an interview, he shared that his talent for producing music gave him the confidence to become a singer. He even took courses by Crivas Oficial, a Dominican Republic producer known for inspiring other aspiring artists like himself.
Today, Miguelo creates music and lyrics that are influenced by the new generation of dancehall reggaeton. As a matter of fact, his first song, “Sueño Contigo,” is inspired by other rappers like Daddy Yankee, Anuel AA, Ozuna, Jennifer Lopez, Reik, Mark Anthony, Rauw Alejandro, Bad Bunny, and other singers in the industry.
With his debut piece paving the way for his career, Miguelo released other singles such as BAILA and Dice Que Me Quiere. He also got a feature for some of his songs—especially Prohibido Amarte—with FerV and Nano, who are both a part of his team. On top of that, Miguelo has collaborated with other budding artists like ShadowDawise, Kenny Boy, and Navy Boysss, among others.
Having a passion for creating urban and Spanish reggaeton music, Miguelo comes up with multi-genre songs that incorporate reggaeton, dancehall, trap, rap, hip-hop, ballads, and others. The artist is currently working on an album that will include a song dedicated to his mother Zulma I. Aponte, who died when he was only four years old.
The music industry may have earned a reputation for being challenging and tough. But according to Miguelo, nothing is impossible as long as one chooses to carry on and trust the process. He also adds that one of the essential ingredients in the recipe for success is persistence. Indeed, great wonderful things happen to those who never give up on their dreams.
