Jiwanta Panday has barely started his career, but he is already talking about the kind of legacy he wants to leave behind. Talk about a man thinking ahead at only 17 years old with a music career that just started. Jiwanta Panday is a songwriter, rapper, and record producer from Kathmandu, Nepal. He left Nepal to live in the United States at the age of three, and he has built his music career since with influences from every part of the world. He started to enjoy a bit of limelight after the release of his singles “Crash Out” and “Racks,” and since those songs hit the airwaves, he has started building a network in the industry even to the point of getting licensing deals from A & R’s of different record labels.
Podcast host, Adam22, who hosts the podcast, No Jumper, noticed his single and gave it more promotion because of how much potential the singles had. Also, Tommy Craze, a popular YouTuber, has given Jiwanta a lot of props on his YouTube channel. All of these have given Jiwanta astounding recognition on social media and has gained him fans all over the world. He has more than 5 million streams on SoundCloud for both his singles and featured songs. For an independent artist who only recently signed a distribution deal with Trap Money Records, having such streaming numbers is a big deal.
Jiwanta is projecting himself beyond being a musician – he wants to make a significant impact globally and leave behind a legacy that will get people to keep talking about him when he is gone. According to him, “I want to leave a legacy. We all have an expiration date, and the sad truth is after our grandkids, people will likely move on and stop talking about us. What we will have left speaking for us is the legacy we leave behind. I want to be remembered as a credible human being who made significant impacts through music. Building a reputable, well-known and strong brand gives you a reputation to protect, and ultimately builds your credibility with customers, your industry, and the marketplace. With credibility comes recognition, loyalty, and competitiveness.”
His motivation comes from all the notable figures and brands that he has seen build their brands from scratch. Jiwanta has also chosen to tread that path early on in his career; he is focused on that singular goal. Jiwanta is, without a doubt, headed for stardom as he continues to put effort into his music. The next couple of months before the end of the year are going to be busy for the rapper, thanks to his new distribution deal, and with his affiliation with big names like YBN Nahmir, NLE Choppa, Lil Xan, Lil Mosey, and Comethazine, he seems to be catching the right types of attention.
As Jiwanta continues to release music and capture young people’s attention, he has it at the back of his mind not to get carried away but only focused on making the most out of his music career.
