Cody Heims AKA ‘Envious’ is an Up-and-Coming Powerhouse in the Music Industry

With the influx of social media influencers and more accessible means of self-promotion, the competition in the entertainment industry is getting tighter by the day. So for anyone to stand out from the competition, it’s a significant advantage to possess more than one talent. Cody Heims seems to have the upper hand because this rising star already has acting and music on his repertoire.

Cody Heims is a 27-year-old aspiring major recording artist who has started his career as an Instagram influencer in 2017 and has since merged into other areas of the entertainment industry. The rising artist from Honolulu, Hawaii, showcased his acting chops in Phases of Mahina, P.W.N.A.G.E.: People with No Actual Girl Experience, and a cameo on Hawaii Five-0, but he moved on to what his real passion has always been.

What Cody is most devoted to is his music. Growing up, Cody was inspired by his father, who was also a singer. It was also his father who influenced him to join America’s Got Talent when he was 15.

Cody has already emerged in the rap scene going by the rap alias Envious and has released the single All That Matters. He is a rapper, singer, and songwriter, and has added another feather to his hat, the producer title. He continues to be inspired by his musical influences, Eminem, NF, MGK, and Logic.

But more significantly, Cody will soon be releasing his first album Pieces of Myself. The album would feature eight songs, such as Nightmare, Dreamin’, Vulnerable, and Anxiety. He describes Nightmare and Dreamin’ as yin and yang, songs that speak opposites as they reference each other, but both share the same theme. And as a self-proclaimed mama’s boy, Cody is also most proud of the track Dear Mama which he dedicates to his dear mother, his number one fan.

Cody is a new artist that will help shape the music industry with his own authentic sound, and lyrics that speak from experience and emotion. And as an artist who has started from self-producing his own music, he is joining others in a step forward towards a more independent and level playing field in the music business, most notably in the rap niche. And currently, as an independent artist, Cody helps to empower other aspiring major recording artists like himself to follow their passion for music.

Cody continues to push forward and navigate his newfound break in the entertainment industry, and his efforts are paying off. He was noticed by the VP of Capitol Records/Motown, esteemed artist booking managers, and even the show, The Voice has reached out. Cody’s quick adaptability, humility, an impressive range of natural talents, and an incredible work ethic are what make him an unstoppable force in achieving his goals. The world better keep its eyes peeled for Cody because he is on his way to superstardom.
