Securing our society’s future entails a strong program for youth empowerment. A Better Chance for Youth Inc. is taking this call to action to heart and actively seeking ways to prepare tomorrow’s leaders and influencers as early as today.
A Better Chance for Youth is a not-for-profit group that focuses on making an effort to strengthen the community through youth empowerment. The group’s members and volunteers use data-driven models and resources to create a long-lasting difference in youth lives. All this they do in the hopes that they can help affect positive change.
A Better Chance for Youth Inc. provides services for the youth, including education consulting, test preparation consulting, community connections, and motivational speaking. The organization puts focus and attention on the minority scholar that feels like college is not an option. A Better Chance for Youth Inc. helps them by providing educational support and seeking out financial aid for promising youth.
Leading ABC Youth Inc. is Monique S. Robinson. She received a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from Wilberforce University and a masters of education from Concordia University-Portland. Monique would later pick up an educational leadership certification and special education accreditation from Northcentral University. As the founder of A Better Chance for Youth Inc., Monique aims to promote higher learning for all scholars. She advocates for Historically Black Colleges and Universities. In 2009, Monique received the “Teacher of the Year” award for Imagine Schools at the district and regional level for her contributions to education.
ABC Youth Inc. believes in the power of education to make an impact in the next generation. The community project looks to raise funds from local businesses for educational opportunities for scholars and educators.
Education for scholars is essential. The organization takes donations from local businesses and uses them to create educational opportunities for our scholars and educators. A Better Chance for Youth Inc. also takes time to challenge their scholars by creating tests, tutorials, and other resources to prepare them for assessments, challenging classes, and life situations.
The non-profit organization’s board and volunteers also make themselves available for speaking invitations in schools, youth centers, and other organizations. They organize projects in the hopes that they can increase their influence and also create income streams that will support their efforts.
A Better Chance for Youth Inc. also looks to create support programs that will help minority families educate them about how to secure scholarships for their children and select a school using the scholar’s input. In the next five years, they hope to fulfill their mid-term vision of providing college tours and consultation services to families with scholarships and college support.
In all they do, ABC Youth Inc. hopes to provide a better future for tomorrow’s leaders by training them up as young as possible. They believe that the best tool to mold a child’s future properly is access to education, and they do everything in their power to make that happen for as many kids as they can.
