There are a lot of people who fail because they lack the resilience, strategy, or mindset to make it big in business. But anyone who meets Rylan Stone will know that he has what it takes to make it big in business.
At only nineteen years of age, Rylan has quickly established himself as a force to be reckoned with in the medical industry front. Rylan is the founder and owner of Medi-Ops, a transportation management organization that helps facilitate the transportation of ambulance, air ambulance, stretcher, wheelchair, ambulatory transport, and medical courier operations.
The eureka moment for the venture began when Rylan was working with Mountain States EMS and saw an unmet need in the medical transportation industry. Being part of the emergency response unit, the young entrepreneur saw the lack of resources to respond to all cases that would call in. There was very little to no assistance when it came to locating ambulance services for many of the daily cases that would come in.
As a way to solve that problem, Rylan developed a centralized dispatch center for facilities and patients to schedule emergency transport. In addition to this, Medi-Ops also provides upfront quotes to provide patients with enough time to consider costs and billing. At Medi-Ops, team members vow never to let patients wait for emergency response. The company operates twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week for citizens All across the United States, but is based out of Denver, Colorado.
Rylan discovered he had a knack for business early on in life. Growing up, he took up a love for falconry, an ancient sport that trains birds of prey, such as hawks and falcons, to hunt wild quarry. Rylan became licensed at the sport at the age of twelve, which gave him the chance to develop his discipline and sense of responsibility. He would often fund his passion and, therefore, would look for means to turn in a profit so he could continue with falconry. Rylan’s father was also a significant influence growing up, continually teaching him about the importance of dedication, profitability, and finance.
One of the greatest motivators for Rylan was his natural tendency to help others. It was this wiring in him that led him to study at an EMT school and take on roles as a firefighter EMT and ultimately get a job with Mountain States EMS. It was during this course that he discovered what would become his life’s calling and work: developing one of the country’s first-ever emergency medical courier programs.
Today, Medi-Ops averages over three thousand calls a year and virtually saves thousands of lives in the process. Rylan continues to take an active role in the business as the director of operations for the organization. He does this while currently attending Arizona State University and pursuing falconry.
Through Rylan’s genius and hard work, emergency response work has never been the same. Still, the young and budding entrepreneur looks to the future and hopes to expand his operations and save millions of lives in the process.
