Understanding the Difference Between Success and Happiness: Julian Doan’s Journey to Becoming the Best Version of Himself

For most people, success and happiness are two things that can be associated and are almost synonymous. By reaching out to complete their goals, they can find the happiness that comes with their success. However, this is not always true, as Julian Doan himself would come to realize.

His story begins at the age of 18 when he was still in the 12th grade. He had taken to eating his lunch in the bathroom stalls because he felt that he was an outcast to his peers. Being introverted and socially awkward, his attempts to fit in were fruitless. Yet an epiphany came over him, and he knew that something had to change. Julian set out to transform himself into a man of confidence.

A few months after graduating and entering community college, he met some people in the first semester who had already proven to be very successful. To his astonishment, they saw potential in him, and before he even believed in himself, they believed in him. He was thrilled when they took him under their wing and introduced him to the world of marketing.

They made sure that Julian understood that marketing was more than just making money. One of his mentors sat down with him and told him something that would help his development. “Julian,” they said, “If you could have everything you want the way you are now, you should already have it. For things to change, you need to change. This sparked a desire for Julian to work on his personal development. However, in the first five years he worked, Julian didn’t make any money.

The most money that he produced was over $200 a month, and the biggest team he ever had were 15 active distributors. This led him to believe that success was not for him, and he started to give up hope. Luckily, one of his mentors invited him to attend a Transformational Workshop. Julian was skeptical, thinking that he had already seen and heard everything. When he went to the workshop, he realized that he was wrong.

This workshop had proven to be extremely different from all others. What set this one apart from the others was that it made him realize how he was being sent down a path of self-destruction and self-sabotage by the disempowering beliefs and stories that he made up himself. He was enslaved by his own stories.

Julian was able to transform the way he related to himself and others thanks to a secret that the workshop had given him, which was, “It is not about the Doing, it is not about the Having, but it is all about the Being.”

Ninety days after the transformation course, Julian was able to make his first $10,000 a month. In the next few years, he would go on to make a lot of money and even become a top leader in the industry. This resulted in him being voted top MLM Leader Under 30 for Business For Home.

Despite his success, Julian found that he was unhappy. So he began another process of transformation. He began to study different people who found success in other key areas of life and even took tutelage under the man who started the Transformation training. He was immersed in his teachings and was able to get certified to share his system of transformation with others.

In the four years to follow, Julian would go on to teaching this system in classrooms, on stage, and in front of hundreds of people around the world. By doing this, he transformed his own life. He has gone on to build businesses that not only create income but expand his kingdom, shed 210 lbs down to 160 lbs of muscles, become more present in relationships, and gained the courage to share his story with people.
