From growing up as a sheltered churchgoer to later on living life as an exotic dancer, Sherra Soto has seen all sides of the coin. To this day, the dancing queen is still in awe of all that she has seen, witnessed, and experienced in her exotic dancing life. She now hopes to take the readers on a trip down her memory lane as she vividly shares her stories and experiences of exotic dancing in her upcoming book series Daisy Does Life, followed by Daisy Does Dancing.
Sherra Soto is a jane of all trades and master of one. Having worked in many different fields as an interior decorator, military contractor, salon manager, dental assistant, and more, none of these jobs come close to her passion for dancing. The mother of six was a dancer for almost ten years. Determined to make a change for her career but not wanting to leave the lifestyle, she has turned to write about her exotic dancing experiences as a way to keep these amazing moments alive as she navigates through the new chapters of her life.
Born to parents who were natural entertainers, Sherra felt that she was also born to entertain, despite not being too fond of the spotlight. The seasoned dancer began her journey when she left her husband while living in Heidelberg, Germany. Moving from Europe to Florida, Sherra Soto spent months looking for jobs. With no luck at hand, she turned to the art of dancing, which changed her life completely. Admittedly, she first turned to exotic dancing out of necessity. Although the profession was not her first choice, it did end up being her best choice.
Dancing brought Sherra Soto nationwide. She has danced throughout the country and has had unique experiences in the profession. To name a few places, she has danced at Sapphires in New York City, Spearmint Rhino in Las Vegas, Gold Nugget in Panama City, and Rick’s Cabaret in New Orleans. For Sherra, the experience not only made her comfortable, but it also entertained her and gave her the best times of her life. Coming from a sheltered Christian background, attending private Christian schools, and going to church religiously, she never really knew what the world was outside of the four walls. It was dancing that opened her eyes to the real world and helped her see life’s realities.
“I never imagined I’d one day be an exotic dancer, but I have no regrets doing so for almost a decade. It’s been a blast and all the hilarious stories that’s happened to me made it all worthwhile,” she shares. Through her upcoming book, Daisy Does Life, Sherra Soto will show the world the exciting life she lived, which molded her into the empowered woman she is today. Daisy Does Dancing, the sequel of her first book, will then delve deeper into the more adventurous side of exotic dancing. From countless private parties to other wild stories, the MAXIM contestant will guide the readers into the real world of exotic dancing.
Today, Sherra Soto spends most of her time taking care of her family as a loving mother and grandmother when not writing. Indeed, much of her life has changed, but one thing is for sure: the legacy of her exotic dancing life continues to live on.
