To be successful and reach the pinnacle of one’s chosen career is every human’s goal, not necessarily because of the benefits and comfortability that comes with it, but because it allows one to plan for a future, especially for those with kids and set them on a path to follow their dreams. However, it is a different ballgame when one goes out of their way to reach out to the underserved and less privileged. By doing so, one is committed to uplifting those who need help in one’s community, and by extension, the community is benefiting directly from one’s success.
Shantell Robinson did not only grow out of New York City and Virginia, and she has not only spread her tentacles and influence across the city, but she is also on a mission to help the less privileged, particularly the homeless, to solve their housing problems. Shantel is not a savior, but she has stood in the gap for many homeless people or those on the verge of losing their homes. When you speak of solving problems that pertain to housing, as far as New York City and Virginia go, Shantell is the name that comes to mind.
Shantell Robinson is the Founder of Healing the Hearts of the Homeless, an outreach program to cater to homeless people or people facing evictions to get the best help and start a new life or create a better one.
Shantell felt the need to create the foundation after realizing that homelessness is the biggest problem worldwide, and she has come up with a way to help the best way possible. She is making a difference in this world that needs it so desperately.
Shantell hails from New York and Virginia, and she attributes her motivation to the states. There are so many people living on the streets in NY and Virginia. “I want to help as many people as I can,” she said.
Shantell and the works they do at Healing the Hearts have been described as heaven-sent; she describes it as, “I provide a home. I assist with housing and employment; my house isn’t broadcast for them to feel embarrassed. There are no signs for anyone to recognize it as a shelter.”
Healing the hearts is a foundation operating distinctively considering the fact that they give their clients six months to find stable housing and employment. While at the same time provide the necessary assistance such as, funding, housing, employment, education programs and if needed counseling sessions.
Shantell is committed to giving back to society, and in the next five years, she intends to own several housing for the homeless in different states. At the same time, she wants every opportunity and avenue to reach out to people and agencies and let them know about my services so we can reach as many as possible.
