The world today is fast-evolving, the advancement in technology ushering in a new digital era. With these advancements, the future of finance and investments have also significantly improved, as creative minds make the evolution from cash to cryptocurrency and most recently, non-fungible tokens (NFTs) – a unique digital asset that not only promises a future arbitrage, it can also be a one-of-a-kind artwork collection. One of the latest NFTs collectibles is Klepto Bears – a unique collection of artwork and digital assets reminiscing childhood memories.
Klepto Bears are a distinct collection of sleek, stylized pieces of art that harken to the nostalgic child within us. By focusing on patterns and texture, the 2D klepto bears represent modern-day life, layered on treasures of our past. To help viewers focus on the distinct patterns, the NFTs are designed with peaceful backgrounds that guide viewers’ eyes to the character, the shapes that stay the same while shifting in representation.
Klepto Bears represent the happier moments of our younger years, triggering nostalgia among holders. Amber Marie created the NFT project to help holders reconcile with the memories of their juvenile years. With over 10,000 bears minted, each unique NFT character tells a story from iconic films, comics, games, and pop culture that allow the holder’s imagination to run free.
Born in Denver, Colorado, Amber always had a powerful urge to express herself through the visual arts. As a little girl, she always carried a pen and paper to sketch her imagination or illustrate still life objects around her. Her passion for the arts followed her through high school, where she excelled in the arts. After high school, there was no doubt what her tertiary course of study would be. However, her desire to grow into an artist worth emulating was stunted as she found the art curriculum at the university grossly inadequate and pretentious. Thriving to adapt, she changed her emphasis four times in the department before admitting it was futile and dropping out of college. Soon after, she relocated to Las Vegas, where she was inspired to expand her artistic horizon through makeup and body art in the photography industry.
As the global pandemic stalled activities in many industries, Amber found herself struggling to stay relevant in the body art industry. To adapt to the unprecedented times, she found her way to the graffiti mansion, where she met founding partners Arman Izadi and Danny Lorden. The duo immediately saw her untapped potential as a graffiti artist and taught her the not-so-subtle art of creating art by emptying spray cans.
With this new knowledge, Amber decided to go a step further and explore the digital art space, birthing the Klepto Bear NFT. To pledge support towards the Klepto Bear Loot Boxes projects, Arman donated $100,000, bringing Amber closer to realizing her dream. The sponsorship and support that Amber and the Klepto Bear Club are getting are just one of the many support systems provided by the Graffiti Mansion to artists to incorporate them into the NFT community and get paid for their art.
