If you were born with a high IQ, what would you do? There are so many people with high IQ wasting their lives, using their God-given wit and intellect for nothing more than making money for themselves, getting fame, or scamming others. Only a select few think of it as a gift from God and use it for the sake of others. They realize that they have a responsibility to use their gifts for others and bring about a balance in society. Then again, we don’t have many such individuals; albeit rare, they still do exist, and one such individual is Joilson Melo.
Joilson Junior De Melo was born in the city of Cuiaba, Mato Grosso state in Brazil. He is the son of Itamar de Melo and Edenilce Pedrina Sampaio de Melo coming from humble origins. His parents instilled values in him that will one day bloom him into a true warrior for justice. Joilson always stood out from the rest of the kids due to his high IQ and staying on top of his class throughout elementary and even high school.
When Joilson was only 9 years of age, his parents decided to move to the interior of the state in the hope to search for better life opportunities. Due to his high IQ, it was easy for him to ace in all areas of life and surpassed kids older than him with relative ease. When he received his first computer at the raw age of 12, instead of wasting his time on playing games, he was already creating computer programs in programming languages like C++, JavaScript, CSS, PHP, MySQL, Delphi, and several others.
Merely at the age of 14, he started creating computer programs and started working with the Google AdSense program, earning a few dollars as a means of supplementary cash. Just two years later, he was already proficient enough to work with professional companies and as such, struck a deal with a large tech firm in Sao Paulo called Zero0 do Brasil Servicos Digitais Ltd. He worked with the company from 2007 to 2014 in the mobile service industry.
Having a change of mind, in the year 2015, Joilson bought a farm in the interior of Mato Grosso and dedicated himself to the cattle-raising sector along with planting soybeans and corn. It was as if he was born with a magical touch in his hand; no matter where he sat foot, he succeeded. It was like he was born with Midas’s touch.
With the resounding success of his cattle farm business, he turned his attention towards something out of the ordinary; he decided to study law. Given that he had a knack for standing against injustice in society, he partook in studying law and is currently a second-year student in the Fasip College, situated in the heart of Sinop in the state of Mato Grosso. With a fearless attitude, he has already identified numerous flaws in the judicial system of Brazil and has raised his voice against it. He even filed a request for action in the National Council of Justice (CNJ) with Minister Humberto Eustaquio Soares Martin as a rapporteur. His narrative was not only listened to but was also considered right and considered for making corrections in the judicial system. A remarkable feat for someone just 32 years of age.
Joilson Melo has now embarked on the journey of becoming one of Brazil’s most prominent and renowned lawyers and equalizes the system where rich and poor, both have equal and just access to justice.
It is with great hope that we wish to see how Joilson will keep on bringing positive reforms in the judicial system of Brazil.
