Digital solutions have changed things for the retail industry. It has become a case of dog-eat-dog, and any business that is unable to meet up or adapt gets kicked off the curb. In the fashion retail business world, this has been the case for months now, with shops closing up and businesses folding up. This and many more problems are the things that Shoppa Wright noticed that made him develop FashZip, a mobile application geared towards making shopping and logistics easier for both customers and retailers.
FashZip came to Shoppa Wright as an idea after his daughter passed away due to a heart condition. During the time she was sick and hospitalized, he ordered an item that was not delivered till his daughter passed away. Not long after, the order was delivered to the hospital, and Shoppa Wright had to go pick it up himself. This was the point where he wondered what could be so hard about a same-day delivery that satisfies the seller and customer regardless of any sudden changes. Shoppa and his daughter had a ritual of shopping together, and the last product they bought together didn’t get delivered till she passed away.
FashZip is personal to him, and he has put in a great deal of effort, time, and resources to bring it to life. While he kept running around trying to develop the company, Shoppa Wright met Patience Davoren, who would later become his co-founder and partner at the company. Patience, who has an amazing human services background, fell in love with the idea because she was personally invested as she had a sick grandparent who relied on online shopping and delivery. Patience got on board, and together, she established FashZip with Shoppa Wright. They scheduled sometime in 2020 to launch the official application, but COVID-19 truncated all their plans.
Today, FashZip has proven to be helpful and has fast become a highly sought-after app. Available for both Android and iOS users, FashZip app gives customers of various retailers all the retailers within a fifteen-mile radius that can deliver in less than 2 hours. Shoppa and Patience have worked round the clock to keep the company afloat and achieve success with it. Every city that FashZip launches in gets an adequate number of “Zippers” who will ensure that all orders are delivered within two hours of placing the orders. As part of its long-term plans for survival and competition, FashZip has connected with fashion retailers and offered them different incentives and to get them on board, such as annual discounts upon sign-up, trial opportunities, feature store advertisements, same-day delivery to customers, and phenomenal growth rate in sales.
Their Zippers and other employees enjoy health benefits, bonuses, vacations, advancement opportunities, and investment opportunities. Aside from these benefits, Zippers also have the chance to earn a car once a year based on their contributions to the company’s logistics.
FashZip helps these stores get the customers they need and help customers get the fashion items they want within a short time. The company is solving a prevailing logistics problem city by city in quite a revolutionary fashion. The company intends to spread the word all over the United States and globally in the near future. Later this spring, FashZip will launch in New York and Georgia.
