5678dancenow.inc is a non-profit dance organization operated by CEO Ayesha Watson based in Atlanta, Georgia. For over 20 years now, the organization has been providing counseling, mentorship, character building, job connections, and cultural development for the youth.
Ayesha has a master’s degree in human behavior and is currently working on getting her Ph.D. in counseling. She is known by many as Coach Ayesha, a pillar of the community. Those who know her have witnessed her effective leadership and guidance. Ayesha has a unique way of engaging people in such a way that they feel comforted and assured by her mentorship.
Before starting her non-profit organization, Ayesha held numerous high-level positions in Georgia. Her latest role was working as a supported employment reviewer for the entire state of Georgia under the Department of Behavioral Health Adult Mental Health Program.
Ayesha started 5678dancenow.inc primarily to assist the youth and families in her community to get through difficult times in their lives. Her coaching dives into areas of mental and physical health. Ayesha recognizes that the two aspects are essential to have a strong outlook and coping mechanism.
The non-profit organization has two core programs. First is their Arts Program, where individuals get to develop dance skills and self-discipline through the art form. The Arts Program has been featured on the Lifetime channel, where the organization’s dancers got to showcase their talents to a broad audience. Not only does the program encourage a worthwhile activity for the youth, but it aims to mold them into hardworking individuals to prepare them for the future.
Ayesha is one of the youngest African-American women to run a mental health program from Decatur, Georgia. The CEO and her team have assisted women in obtaining college scholarships through their Arts Program.
The second branch of the organization is the Exploring Your Purpose Program, which focuses on providing education and job opportunities for low-income families. The program is state and federally funded, allowing Ayesha and her team to reach as many people as possible.
They have helped families to sustain and improve living conditions by providing practical skills needed to live their daily lives. Ayesha also initiated a particular focus on assisting veterans. She and her team find jobs, secure their social security, obtain housing, and many other things they need to transition back into their communities.
All in all, 5678dancenow.inc has placed and connected over 500 individuals to jobs and schools. They maintain a life-long relationship with their clients. The organization has assisted over 300 families in obtaining the necessary skills to get hold of basic necessities within their community. The youth who are part of their mentoring program are taught of the importance of self-esteem, enhancements, education, and character development. The non-profit organization stresses their dissent against bullying and how necessary it is to build young people who will not tolerate such behavior.
5678dancenow.inc has a very close-knitted staff of five competent individuals. Despite having a small team, it is apparent that the organization has achieved so much for its community. The company has received support and made partnerships with DeKalb recreations, Toys for Tots, Atlanta Food Festival, GVRA, and many others within Decatur, Georgia.
